    Kind of the way I feel, too. He's forced into a role he probably shouldn't be in and he's still keeping us in games. Lately it seems as though the offense hasn't been scoring much for his starts so his mistakes are magnified.

    I didn't say he sucked. Of course you know that. I said he has trouble putting people away when he's ahead and he's walking too many. Both of which have been true throughout his career.

    Yep. It's not his fault he can't put hitters away and walks a bunch.

    It's also taken good throws/good players most times to get the runners.

    Offense just needs to have better at bats with runners on 3rd and less than 2 outs. Really poor last two games. Yeah the Phillies have good arms but it's just bad.

    I heard the same story. That was a classic Ueck. He also went on about how demonstrable umpires are or aren't, and something about the "show call" or whatever they called it. Relayed stories on umps who used to have unique strike calls, strikeout calls.
