Just a quick note to add to the Vernon Wells conversation, the fans at BLUEJAYWAY.CA, seem to be of the almost unanamous idea that Wells must be traded this offseason. He is supposedly demanding Carlos Beltran money, 16-18 mill per. (Also they need a SS, the Brewers could have an extra SS in Hardy or Hall or Yo2 (Perez)) So yes it is just speculation but the teams have pieces that the other wants. A Vernon Wells for JJ Hardy, Villenueve, Rogers deal wouldn't shock me. It would be hard to give up that much young talent for a player you may only have for one year.

A Mariners fan came up with this idea.

I LOVE that offer. Now I am not from the camp that we MUST get rid of Jenkins but if an offer comes along to get a pretty quality young player for Jenkins and little cash I would have to jump all over it. And if we get rid of Jenkins maybe just maybe the Brewers could replace him with my man crush Frank Cattalanatto. -
Getting both of them would be really tough because those two players together could be a large part of a trade to get a Dontrelle Willis type player. Regardless I do think that the Brewers do have a player that could fill their void at 2nd Base Brewers Billy Hall Zack Jackson/Dana Eveland Charlie Fermaint/Angel Salome Derrick Turnbow Mets Aaron Heilmann Lastings Milledge Well I am not sure I love that trade but you need to get rid of value to get value. The only way the Mets would do that is if they wound up getting Barry Zito/Jason Schmidt, but I do think that seems relatively fair.
