  1. You're not alone - now. D'oh!
  2. This is probably a really dumb question, but I'm good for those. So here goes: what if the sample was tampered with but done without out opening it? Microwaving it for a few seconds to kill off the flora wanna-bees that would signal a bad/contaminated sample, for example. Could that also throw off a test?
  3. Dear MLB, I vehemently disagree with you leaking this in the first place. Thank you, DatHoser Now on to the story behind all this.
  4. I'm one of the most pessimistic people on this board, yet I'm not getting too down on this yet. While I refuse to get my hopes up too much, remember that if he's innocent/not guilty/exonerated, MLB will say nothing. The news would come from the Braun camp, who should be heading to Maryvale. Geez, I'm sounding like an optimist
  5. Matt V. was on WKLH this morning and said that they were all set to go to Surprise for the Yu D. presser, but they were instructed by MLB Network to go to Maryvale as there may be news breaking today. He didn't say much else other than he expects a decision by tomorrow at the latest. Remember, ymmv.
  6. Seconded. While this is the first thread I check every day, as well, I certainly won't mind seeing it go away once Mr. Das renders his judgment.
  7. I haven't watched ESPN in over a month. Got MLB Network, so I don't need the 4 letter abomination. They lost it for me long before when they stopped reporting the news and started in making the news. I have a bad feeling that the suspension will be upheld and ESPN will have a field day - again. BTW, my whacked theory on what happened: Braunie drank a mixture of Limelight and Robinade. The total awesomeness of the names connected to the two drinks ended up with unknown results when he drank it.
  8. Agreed, JimH5, on all counts. Fortunately a bit of common sense prevailed. Also, note the kid in the Packers jersey in the front row! Too bad there wasn't a kid in a ManU jersey. EDIT: addition, due to my slow thought process http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  9. jjfanec, it's pretty much a recap of what's gone on so far from Tom H.'s pov.
  10. GAME and BW - cool stuff! I, for one, look forward to more being posted on here.
  11. Like gray and grey, there are now allowed variants. Funny, I remember being marked wrong for "mis-spelling" grey as gray in third grade, but I can't remember when I go to a room to get something what I went to get. D'oh! Yes, I'm a mid-60's birthday old fart.
  12. I'm going with a PTBNL. It's gonna be a late addition "grizzled veteran" pickup who'll be given a roster spot in hopes his "grittiness" rubs off on the younger players. Sorry about the sarcastic tinge, but I just have that feeling - no explanation why, just do.
  13. Things that make you go hmmmm - why is judgment not spelled with another e - like judgement?
  14. Great post, Robin19! Add on to that, in football: extra point - time out - kickoff - time out - change possession (finally). That makes a pitching change downright exciting.
  15. No order here, either. Men's college hockey - WI and the Gerbils or WI and NoDak - I still remember watching a game on tv where the Sioux fans threw a dead badger (not a player http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif) onto the ice before the game started. Cubs-Cards are fun to watch when the Cubs actually field a team. Normally, I don't watch a game when I can't stand both teams, but this is the exception. USA-Canada in men's Olympic hockey is great. Duke-UNC is also another one I'll try to take time to watch.
  16. Fixed that, for you and Hawing. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  17. This may not be so bad. Remember, he can be cut before the season at a loss of about $2.5 mil. or so. What could be done is wait out spring training and hope for an injury or flame-out on another team and then trade him while agreeing to pay $2-3 mil. of his contract - at least getting a little back. Also, heaven forbid we get an injury, he's insurance for us. All of this assumes he stays healthy himself (crosses fingers).
  18. Hanley Ramirez apparently isn't too happy with the prospect of changing positions. LINK (Hoser waves his hand, Jedi-like over Hanley) "You will request a trade to Milwaukee if Reyes signs with the fish." I can dream, can't I.
  19. Shrek 2 did an homage to This is Spinal Tap and it took me this long to notice.
  20. He did a double switch with David Freese's soul. Good riddance, TLR.. gregmag1 gets an A+ for that post.
  21. No they didn't. Read the board. Most people picked the Brewers to win, and they were favored. What RoCo is referring to, I believe, is putting Marcum on the mound.
  22. Omen alert!! While painting the shed this afternoon, a squirrel sauntered under my ladder. I did the most un-classy thing I could think of at the moment (in public, mind you): I spit on it! Jamie, that was also for you http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  23. I think we have a winner. I never would have thought of that one.Love it! Have him throw to Billy Crystal.
