  1. Well, that takes me off the ledge. It was like Bizarro-Brewers day: McGehee with a huge homer and Hawkins pitches the 8th......... And I will say, I thought McGehee was a horrible choice.
  2. And Tampa too. I'm not holding my breath today though. Wolf seems like the kind of pitcher the Yankees will pummel. Sure hope I'm wrong though.
  3. Thanks....that's another big one that I wasn't able to put my finger on when asked...... Just can't stand the holier-than-thou attitude.
  4. Logan can fight his own battle, but he never said anything about off the field in his original post. Just that he's a giant d-bag. Which he certainly is on the field, which is all I, personally, care about. There is not a chance in Hell I'd hug him. Just curious, outside of the staring down his home runs what are the other things he has done what makes him a giant d-bag? That's it. That's plenty for me. Same reason Aramis Ramirez is a giant d-bag. And I'd think the same if Braun and Prince weren't Brewers. They get a little stare-happy too, although not as bad as Pujols and Ramirez.
  5. It is his attitude towards other people doing the same things he does that makes him a hypocritical D-bag. I am not going to waste my time looking for one. We all know he has chastized other people for doing things that are unclassy. That's on the field crap. Don't waste your time because he is a solid guy who happens to be playing for a team that is not located closely to where we (most of us) grew up or live.Logan can fight his own battle, but he never said anything about off the field in his original post. 6. I know what you meant by this, but it's still pretty funny.......... I think the best part was the score-2-runs-and-take-the-lead part. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
  7. ^^ April 7 vs. Atlanta as far as I can tell. Sad.
  8. If I was a manager, Pujols would be the most hit player in the league. I'd stick one in his ear 3 times a year. He's almost as bad as Aramis Ramirez when it comes to standing at home plate gawking at a home run. I hope he's out for the year. Can't stand that guy.
  9. Pretty awesome. Moreno is a self-made man, which makes it a little less surprising that he handled it the way he did.
  10. Marginal upgrade. But "marginal" may be what it takes to make the playoffs.
  11. 1.518 WHIP4.8 BB/9 Stats>Meaningless platitudes about demeanor. He's been walking a tightrope all year. His WHIP is down to 1.418. He can get away with that a. because his stuff is so good, b. he doesn't panic with men on and C. He's allowed 2 HR in 96 major league innings and opposing hitters are slugging just .288 off of him. His OPS against is under .609 this year and .591 for his career. Those numbers aren't quite as good as Bell, but Axford pitches half his games in Miller Park. I get to watch games on MLB extra innings. Axford gets raved about nightly by color analysts from opposing teams. His stuff is electric. I compare him to Jim Kern of the 1970's. Kern was a bit of a late bloomer too, tall and lanky, and had the nastiest stuff in the AL in those days before he hurt his arm. I agree with most of this...........and the Jim Kern comparison rings true too. He has been better in the last week. I just get nervous with all the baserunners. And he needs to get his walks down.
  12. I don't agree.
  13. Where are you seeing Axford being on borrowed time? He has great stuff and the perfect makeup to close. Oh he'll put some guys on base, but his demeanor never changes. He's shown a bad outing doesn't affect him the next time out. He's one of the best closers in baseball and the Brewers are lucky to have him. In short, he's not Derrick Turnbow. Now instead of Bell, Mike Adams is a guy I'd be looking at. 1.518 WHIP4.8 BB/9 Stats>Meaningless platitudes about demeanor. He's been walking a tightrope all year.
  14. I'm not saying he should've brought Braddock in. I'm aware that they all switch hit, the point is that Loe should never face lefties, or as rarely as possible. Hawkins would've been a better choice. So, no, it's not off-base at all and RR is, in fact, clueless. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  15. The guy I actually want that I think is feasible is Hardy. Although, at this point, I'd be happy with darn near anyone that isn't Betancourt.
  16. I hear ya.................how about replacing Betancourt with Reyes.........yeah, that'd be nice. Reyes6Weeks4Braun7Fielder3Hart9McGehee5Lucroy2Morgan8Gallardo1 Looks a lot better. The past few days there have been a ton of posts about Reyes as a Brewer. These are all just dreams right........ Picture this line up Reyes6Weeks4Braun7Fielder3Kemp8Bautista5Mauer2Ellsbury9Halladay1 Looks a lot better What's the point? He will never be a Brewer. At least not a Brewer on a team with Fielder, Greinke or Marcum. Ellsbury couldn't play RF..........pshh
  17. Very true, not going to lie Reyes instead of Yuni is something to dream and drool over becuase that would be nuts, but never will happen. Yep..........probably true.........thanks for ruining my dream.......http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
