  1. Because every 3rd or 4th outing his command is zero.
  2. Ashby has incredible stuff. But I dont trust him whatsoever.
  3. I appreciate what Isaac Collins has done for the Brewers this season, but he is not a consideration if an upgrade (Reynolds or someone else) is available. He'd be an excellent 4th OF.
  4. It's 5 more years. Plus 2MM on a 20M team option. It's 15/year basically. Would require a small payroll bump. Woody won't be back either way imv so there's your 15. This year is clearly an anomaly as laid out by Brewer Fan in terms of negative WAR. I wouldn't give up much but I'd love to have him. WRT your last condescending sentence, it's literally not my money.
  5. I love what Collins has done, but he is not a reason not to trade for a star(ish) outfielder whether it be Reynolds or someone else. To me at least.
  6. I say it every July, but: Bryan Reynolds. I know he's having a down year and is owed $80MM, but that might mean they can get him cheap(ish). Big risk, big reward. 3.6 WAR last year which is pretty much his career average. -.7 this year though.
  7. If they give up Henderson for 3 months of Suarez I'll be pissed. Not that anyone will care, but still.
  8. Was not aware of the Miller injury, so that may be a no-go. I'm not even trying to be specific, I just think they'll add in the pen. Seems like they always do.
  9. I was thinking someone like Shelby Miller, David Bednar, Kyle Finnegan.......just another quality arm in the pen. I would assume Megill stays at closer in any case.
  10. I'd be surprised if we didn't add a reliever.
  11. I stopped after the first sentence.
  12. Im sure I've told this story, but my wife and I went to game 1 of the NLCS in 18. We both smoked at the time so I said to her in the middle of the 3rd, "Let's go smoke quick, we'll only miss the pitcher batting". The crowd notified us that I had made a poor suggestion.
  13. I'd DFA Civale before I sent Patrick down. Of course, I'd prefer neither. I'm guessing Mis will get one start and then be sent down regardless of how he does.
  14. Mostly agree with this. I think you're short-changing Quintana and Civale a little. I'm personally hoping the rotation in August will be Peralta/Woodruff/Quintana/Civale/Patrick with Henderson et al as depth.
  15. At this point, I think I'd take that.
  16. OK, so you were serious. Woof. A little bit of an overreaction.
  17. Don't like it. Would be completely fine with Rodriguez/cash, but the pick hurts as pretty much everyone has mentioned. I trust the front office though so am moving forward with an open mind.
  18. Dunn is 27 and hasn't done anything of any note in the minors. He had one good season but was pretty old for the league. I'm not exactly impressed. Hope to be wrong, but I doubt he's a major league player. Edit: And, for the record, I would have the exact same thing about McGehee in March of 2009 (and possibly did).
  19. Pretty much exactly what I was going to say. I think Durbin is more likely to succeed than Dunn.
  20. I will echo the San Francisco suggestion. Incredible experience. My sister has lived in the Bay area since the mid 80s. I've been to a couple games at Candlestick as well. I would NOT have recommended that.
  21. Well hopefully he can get back to his rookie form when he had a cool .5 WAR in 388 PA.
