  2. I was hoping to attend this one but got involved in an ill-fated moving project. Bummer. Dave's in center, Hard Nose is behind the plate, and Clark is in right. 4. Gotta hand it to you,no question your a bigger fan than me.I love the Brewers, but the yearly nosedive usually does me in until some new kids show up to keep me interested. Yeah, I can certainly understand that. My intensity level is way down, obviously, so the impact of the wins and losses isn't as great, but I'm still in a better mood when they're winning than when they're losing. Lately, that probably hasn't been a good thing. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif ~Bill
  5. That was pretty disappointing. Dan Kolb only made one mistake, but he's just not as sharp as he was in the first half of the season. I'm afraid Team Canada's failure to deal him will be remembered as a big mistake... he's a good pitcher, but I don't think he'll ever pitch as well as he did this season. It was good to see Victor Santos put together a nice start, though. I think many of us are sort of waiting for the other shoe to drop with regard to Vic, but everytime it looks like he's losing it he bounces back and shows great stuff. When he has his curveball, changeup, and splitter all working, he's lights-out. Anyway, tough loss. Hopefully Dave Krynzel gets a start tomorrow... that would be sweet. ~Bill
  6. Does it even matter anymore batman? I guess not. I just hope they don't injure someone as a result of overuse. It would be really easy to just bring Travis Phelps back and let him eat up some junk innings. The team blows and we will finish in last place again,i have a har time caring much anymore whether we win or lose. Well I still care, right or wrong. ~Bill
  7. That was quite uncool. If our bullpen is in such horrible shape, why haven't we called up a few extra pitchers now that rosters have expanded? ~Bill
  8. Craig Wilson is freaking good. ~Bill
  9. I was looking forward to watching Dave play all day. But no... we get to see more of Podsednik and Clark and Jenkins. I can barely contain my enthusiasm. I want to see lots of Dave Krynzel, Corey Hart, Lil' Ben, King George, and Pedro the Lion. If that means less time for everyone else, so be it. ~Bill
  10. It's Beer. Hooooray, Beer! Err, win. Hooray win. Yeah. ~Bill
  11. You're right-on about Brownlie, Patrick. Here's the BA link: www.baseballamerica.com/t...03032.html And Scott Boras better have sweat glands, 'cause I hear it's kind of warm where he'll spend the rest of eternity. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif ~Bill
  12. Pedro the Lion in a seventh inning setup situation? I like it. EDIT: And as I say that, Kendall doubles. Good pitch, though. ~Bill
  13. Doug Davis left due to a left arm contusion. No fracture, he's day to day, and the Brewers are hoping he'll be able to make his next start. Good news. ~Bill
  14. This would certainly be a creative loss. ~Bill
  15. Thanks guys. I hope he's OK. ~Bill
  16. What happened to Doug Davis? I was distracted for a half inning and missed it... Little help? Thanks, ~Bill
  17. Did Schroeder just call him "Ben Van Scrotum"??? Yes, yes he did. ~Bill
  18. LIL' BEN IS THE MAN!!! That was great to see tonight. Congratulations, Ben! ~Bill
  19. Chad Moeller is making a *huge* difference tonight. I know many of us had noted in the past that we felt perhaps Gary Bennett wasn't calling a good game for Lil' Ben, and I think we were right. He still got hit tonight, and I'm sure he'll get hit in the future, but the way he is pitching this time is night and day from his previous outings. Lots of good changeups, lots more curveballs, and the fastball used more as a setup pitch than an out pitch. Solid. Nice of Mr. Fogg to throw at Hendrickson. Dork. ~Bill
  20. darn you batman.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif You can't stop my love of Keith Ginter... you can't even hope to contain it. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif ~Bill

  22. Adams still gave up the home run, though... he shouldn't escape blame. It was yet another team loss, essentially, with everyone doing the little things to help the team lose. Bad yuck boo. ~Bill
  23. The Wes Helms Futility Watch: 15 errors (14 at 3B), 13 extra-base hits. Nicely done, Mr. $4.5 million. ~Bill
  24. I'm very concerned about Big Ben's velocity. He's throwing 85-88mph fastballs, or about 8mph less than he typically does. There is always some variation in radar guns and velocity from start to start, but this is a pretty serious (and consistent) drop-off. He's pitching well, but something isn't right. Call me a worry wart if you want, but I don't like this at all. ~Bill
  25. This is not the Randy Wolf I remember watching in the past. Did the Phillies trade for Wayne Franklin and give him Wolf's jersey to wear? We better win this one. ~Bill
