  1. Just wow. That thing would have even terrified people back in the 60s. Acid not required.
  2. I agree, I don't think it's realistic for the entire stadium to stand and chear for the entire game. Definition of "key moments" should be expanded far beyond what typically qualifies (Brewers HR, last batter of the game, etc.) But that's the key, when it's time to get loud...get REAL loud. Should give away thunder sticks instead of towels. Biggest offenders always seem to be fans closest to the action. You season ticket holders down around the IF need to pick up the pace!
  3. That's why I listed momentum second. Kennedy is the main reason I don't feel very positive. In fact, momentum was a poor choice of words to use. I just think AZ comes in probably real loose with a "nothing to lose" attitude. Feeling good winning the last two, ace on the mound, etc. Meanwhile, the Brewers are suddenly in a must win position after losing two and may be free swinging too much. Or maybe it manifests itself with Yo trying to be too perfect. Not saying any of that is true, could never be proven one way or another. It's just how I feel. I'm really afraid of "hero syndrome" where everyone tries to hit a 5 run HR instead of settling for a single, taking a walk, etc. Really don't want to be negative, it's just how I'm seeing this game. But hey, it's game 5 in Milwaukee so I'm excited regardless.
  4. I just don't feel positive about Yo out-pitching Kennedy again. So I'm going into this game expecting to lose, which is fine, because I rather be pleasantly surprised. Brewers have HFA, but AZ has Kennedy and momentum. 1st inning will be huge for Yo, as it seems even in some of the games he pitched well, he has given up a run or two in the 1st. If he looks lights-out in the first, I will be more optimisitc. Sign steelers, whoever you are, get there early tonight for the best possible vantage point in CF.
  5. Well, time to mess with the lights, steal the signs, paint the batter's eye white, pour baby oli on the pitching rubber....whatever it takes.
  6. I hate these AZ fans. Never heard so many boos for a throw to 1st pr visit to the mound. Sure you hear scattered boos everywhere but not like this. And I'll bet half the people booing Fielder don't even know why they're booing.
  7. Nevermind. A LHP to face Hart, Hairston, Braun....interesting
  8. Keep this guy in Gibson. For the love of all this holy keep this pitcher in.
  9. Casey McGehee meet redemption....redemption...this is Casey McGehee
  10. Hart should be 5th, that's the problem. Any combo of Hairston/Plush/Gomez in the 1st 2 spots, then Braun, Fielder, Hart, Weeks. That's the way to go. If only RR could find a way to get Hart comfortable hitting in the spot that's best for the team. It's only the playoffs, that's probably asking too much,
  11. Sounds like the Casio keyboard I got as a Christmas present in 1986.
  12. I'm trying to say that in any inning you could score 7 runs and totally throw that 13% out the window and flip it to a numerical advantage in our favor. Those %s are worthless. OK nevermind you just don't understand what probability means 99% chance it's futile trying to explain.
  13. Kottaras has started against plenty of LHP. I don't see that changing tomorrow just because it's the playoffs.
  14. I think BF nation is short circuiting because neither McGehee or RR can be blamed for any of this.
  15. What's with all the comments about how we knew it wouldn't be a sweep? I never got that memo. It's not like a win tonight would have been some sort of miracle. Until now that is.....
  16. I didn't BLAME the umpire, he's had the same strike zone forever, it's small. But that doesn't get Marcum off the hook, he didn't pitch well. But 3 bad games doesn't make his Jeff Suppan. Greinke didn't pitch well either in game 2, is he Ricky Bones?
  17. You know, people have a right to vent a bit minutes after this turned into a 7-1 game. If they don't come back tonight, they really need to hammer Saunders tomorrow. Home or not, I don't want to face Kennedy when all the pressure is on the Brewers. You think you've seen lack of patience at the plate tonight, just wait until game 5.
  18. Let's all overreact tonight. It's like when Prince makes an error and people are like, "I can't WAIT until he's DH'ing somewhere in the American League!" I've been saying that in July when Marcum was lights out. He's a finesse pitcher who relies entirely on spotting his pitches. If his control starts wavering in the next couple years, yes, he's potentially the next Suppan. So any pitcher now that doesn't have a 95+ MPH fastball is nothing but a Suppan in waiting? I don't buy that. Marcum was near ace level the 1st half of the year, came down to earth later in the year. He's still a very good starting pitcher, just got the worst possible umpire behind the plate tonight for his game.
  19. Was Wolf pitching RH tonight? Honestly, Marcum looked like he had issues with Lucroy, and it came to a head that last pitch. And Joe West didn't help. But it IS the playoffs, you have to man up and do your best. Only 3-1 game and you groove a fastball because you're upset?
  20. Hart or Morgan need to get on here, or they won't pitch to Braun/ Fielder again. No way Gibson pitches to them tonight unless he has no choice.
