  1. What are you wearing?
  2. I would also add vs LH starter, I would stack Hart, Weeks, Braun at the top of the order.
  3. Depends how McGehee is doing. If he's still hitting, I may ease Weeks back by hitting him 6th or 7th for a couple games and see how he does. I don't think it will take him any more than that, wouldn't surprise me if he doesn't miss a beat. Hart thinks he's a lead-off hitter for some reason, and his bat isn't making him a liar. So after a couple games, I would move Weeks back to the 5th spot.
  4. Put him right back in there, I think a rehab assignment is often times a luxury more than necessity. It's not like they don't have 47 other guys on the roster who can play some 2B to help him ease back.
  5. You would need both in a game like that. Each would pitch 3-4 innings. Otherwise, you're blowing through Loe, Saito, Hawk, etc. since none of our relievers can pitch more than one inning. Now one bad game gets worse, because you've blown through the bullpen. I know it HASN'T happened recently, but it has happened earlier and could certainly happen again. Don't get me wrong, I would rather have an effective LHP in his place, but until one exists he is basically insurance for a starter getting blown out really early in a game. For that matter, there may come a point where the pen is really taxed and you need an inning out of him. This is how he was used earlier in the year. We just went through a stretch where the bullpen could be used almost exactly as you want to use it, and that usually doesn't last too long.
  6. Dillard is there to serve as an innings-eater in a blow-out. 10-5 in the 9th is close, but doesn't qualify. The way that series was going, RR didn't want to take any chances and that's fine with me. But if a starter can't get through 3 innings, Dillard is your guy. He can give you a few innings, instead of blowing through the whole bullpen. That hasn't happened in a while, but both Marcum and Wolf were flirting with it. So at least he does have a purpose...unlike say....Counsell or Wilson.
  7. 3rd shot at the Yuniwalkoff.... and yes that's EXACTLY how a game like this ends.
  8. Classy and hilarious. He better be suspended for a while. Edit. Wow that was a strike too.
  9. Hit here, and you're officially a Brewer again Felipe.
  10. Welcome to the Brewers Hairston, where defense goes to die.
  11. My thought bubble is picturing the roof and panels opening and closing constantly, and faster than what's actually possible, for the rest of the series. Like a carnival fun house. Add that to your list of grievances LaRusa.
