  1. Forgot to be more specific, forgot to mention he would go deep 3 times!
  2. Corey Hart will have a big night, keep it rolling guys! Laynce Nix at clean-up?!?!?! good god.
  3. I expect him to be an ace. Basically, pitch like Marcum. He's shown enough even in his first 4 starts that he's capable of being that ace. Frankly, doesn't matter what WE expect, it's what the Brewers expect. They didn't give up all that talent for a #3 SP for a couple years.
  4. I rather give Katan a shot if you're looking for a 3TO option off the bench.
  5. All just excuses in my opinion. Sure, Dodger Stadium and Petco are pitcher friendly. But they've played most games in hitter (or at least neutral) parks too. Even this recent road trip, hitting w/RISP was the issue. They're hitting what...a little over .200 on the road this year w/RISP? Could be random, but whatever it is that's what's costing them wins far more than any other variable.
  6. I thought it was a good season ender. Better than the Will Ferrell episodes for sure. I didn't expect them to reveal the new boss, so I wasn't dissapointed. Textbook cliffhanger for TV shows, I fully expected then to leave it hanging. I wonder if they even know who the new boss will be next? I doubt they've started writing much for next season yet?
  7. Villy has always had stretches like this. He has also had stretches where nothing stays in the park, and i'm sure we'll see that soon enough.
  8. Yea, I don't even think it was aggressive. IF was playing back, allowing the run. And it wasn't hit real hard. Braun hesitated for some reason, and that cost him. Still looked safe to me anyhow, but that's another story.
  9. Well, I still can't believe this is what we have at SS in the year they wanted to really go all out to win. You do 2 big trades for top of the rotation starters, shore up the bullpen, and make the decision to hold on to Fielder. All to take a legitimate shot at the World Series. Melvin even hedged his bet in CF by bringing in Morgan. Did he really believe Yuni would be good enough at SS? It's a long season, so it won't be too late if a move is made at the All Star break. There's got to be just a decent SS they can get without having to give up very much.
  10. Will Jimmer be gone by #10 for sure? Not only can the guy shoot, he would be great for ticket sales. Something that's not insignificant these days...
  11. I don't see a platoon happening, that would be way too many starts at SS for Counsell. But I do think he should (and probably will) get more starts if Yuni doesn't pick up the pace real soon. In fact, Counsell will start tonight. He's handled Harang in the past, so if he doesn't start tonight I'll be shocked.
  12. I think it's very simple. RR WANTS a guy in the #2 hole who is a good situational hitter (move runners over, hit and run, bunt etc.), get on base a lot, and give you speed on the base paths. He wants this so badly, he's blinded by the fact Gomez doesn't give you 2 of those 3 things, never has, and likely never will.
  13. .260? I'll bet anything that Lucroy will be well over .260. I'm thinking .288 with a .350ish OBP. He was at .380 for his minor league career, so I don't think it's a stretch. I really believe this is a case where he was thrown in maybe a year too early last year, learned how to become a major league hitter, and he's reaping the benefits this year. He should be no lower than 6th in the lineup. I just don't see any logical argument why Lucroy or Hart shouldn't be hitting 2nd. If it's Hart, then Lucroy should be 6th, and pushing Casey for the #5 spot. I'm fine with giving Casey more time though, at least he's proven he can produce in that spot. unfortunately, we have a manager who feels clearing the pitcher's spot is more important than scoring runs.
  14. It's not like Hart is completely lost at the plate either. He can and will improve, but even right now he's a better option higher in the lineup. Brewers seem to be cursed with managers who overthink these things.
  15. Yea, I guess Alabama isn't out of the way like I thought IF you're set on going through Indy and Nashville. The alternative would be to go throught the middle of IL, Memphis, then straight through MS. Quicker, but nothing to do or see on the way. I agree, Bourban St is a drunken mess the later it gets. Still one of those "must see" places. I'll also warn you that the French Quarter is somewhat dangerous, but there are a ton of police around. BUT when you take one step out of the Quarter, you'e on your own. And it gets dangerous at night, the first step you take out of the Quarter.
  16. Yea, but he's versatile. He can ground out to 2nd whether he's pinch hitting, playing RF...CF...even at 1B if you need an 0-4 if Prince takes a day off.
  17. Now you've stumbled on the answer to all this. Kotsay and Nieves are immune to shadows. Shadow proof, if you will.
  18. A few to check out: -Chicago: plenty to do there of course, so probably don't need to get into that. -Indy: Tour of Indy Motor Speedway is pretty cool, even if you're not a race fan. They have a museum as well. -Louisville- L'ville Slugger tour is fun, can pick up a new stick too! - Churchill Downs -Kentucky- Mammoth Cave tour, if you're into that - Fort Knox Not sure why you would go through Alabama, but I'm sure you have your reasons. Quite a bit out of the way though. -Nashville would be a good place to spend the night. Check out the bar scene. Also, obviously plenty of country music stuff to check out if you want. -New Orleans- A ton to see and do, of course. Tabasco tour is pretty cool. Then there are the swamp tours, haunted sites, etc. Bourban St is a must see, if you're into that scene or not. Plenty of great food, won't have a problem there.
  19. It's why I could never be a GM. It's going to kill me to see Odorizzi, Lawrie, Cain, and others perform at a high level in other uniforms. Bad enough seeing Brantley and LaPorta, but it's only going to get worse!
  20. Exactly. I can live with Carlos Gomez. .300 OBP, speed, enthusiasm, and most of all great defense in CF. He brings some things to the table that can help this team win. It's just that he should be written in stone at the bottom of the lineup, not #2.
  21. That's the lineup I would go with for now. But if Lucroy keeps hitting, I would move him up to the #2 or #5 spot. Just depends how Hart and McGehee do as well. Don't know if the stats back me up, just seems like the #1 goal in the Brewers lineup is to get guys on base in front of Braun/Fielder. The 2nd goal would be to have your 5th best hitter behind Braun/Fileder. Is that too simplistic?
  22. As bad as YB and Weeks may be defensively, they have instantly become a very good DP combination. Early props to Kintzler and McClendon. Maybe RR won't feel the need to pitch Loe every day? Narveson continues to more than earn his keep as a #5 starter. This team is about to go on a 12-3 tear, and that will be fun to watch.
  23. *Warning, I'm sure someone else will be able to explain this better than I can, or have a better/easier way.* Just went through this myself. I found home sharing to be the easiest way. Both machines must have internet access. Download and install itunes on the new machine, and authorize it. Then simply turn on home sharing on both machines. Go to the new machine and select "import" and all your music will transfer. I did run into a couple issues. Playlists did not come over. Also, any music I copied from CDs adid not move over, so I manually copied those files to a thumb drive, and imported them to the new machine. It was very easy, just bummed that I had to set up new play lists all over again.
