  1. I would to, but when Morgan was out who else should have started in center? Boggs and his sub .200 avg? Kotsay isn't great but he is an ok bench player that can start when you need him to. Preferably Kotsay would just be a pinch hitter and never play the field but when Hart was down and Morgan was down he was our next best outfielder IMHO Yes
  2. Kotsay only played because of injuries. Part of being liked in the clubhouse and having players want to play for you is rewarding guys for doing what you want them to do. Gomez did what RR wanted him to do in Spring Training, and he was rewarded by batting in the 2 spot. When the results didn't follow, and his approach changed, he was moved down in the order/was benched. Kotsay played over Morgan during the first couple of weeks because Kotsay was with the club all Spring and Morgan joined the team a day or to before the season. It makes sense that Kotsay would get playing time over Morgan early in order to develop a good team atmosphere. It's not like the discrepancy between them was so great as to make much of a difference for a couple of games anyway. Now that Morgan has paid his dues and his healthy, I don't think you'll see Kotsay in center again. If you are ok with the moves RRR has made and call them logical good on ya. Difference of opinions I guess.
  3. It was a slapper down the first base line and then as Ross went down to scoop it, he didn't get his glove down and it rolled all the way to the wall.
  4. It rolled under Ross' glove. I thought he would have gotten the error. If Ross fields it cleanly GoGo is held to a single.
  5. GOMEZ!!!! Little league home run baby! EDIT: Looks like they didn't give them Ross an error so GoGo gets the homerun.
  6. And the off speed stuff looks great. Always a good thing with Wolf.
  7. Like Gomez hitting 2nd or Kotsay starting as much as he has or Loe being trotted out there all the dang time until his arm falls off in August? I get what you're saying. People should wait for more info, but what in Ron's track record has shown that his decisions have reason. If he was making the right call more often we would probably cut him more slack.
  8. RRR's track record thus far doesn't exactly instill confidence that there is a higher logic to some of his moves.
  9. Agreed with everyone here. RRR is an idiot if Hart isn't hurt. The guy was an All Star last year and as much as I love T Plush, is a much better option against lefties. They just had an off day, so its not like he needs a day off. Also if Plush is going to be playing over Hart he should be holding the 2 spot. Seriously getting sick of these lineups.
  10. I'm no expert on these matters by any means, but it sounds like some sort of wiring/electrical issue. I'm not sure where to even go for that sort of thing. Are there still TV repair shops out there?
  11. Definitely slipped away. A lot of needless chances and stupid decisions were taken and made during the game.
  12. About the only move management has made all night I agree with.
  13. Counsell already hit, but I agree with your premise
  14. Ball was hit way too hard to send a runner as slow as Prince.
  15. Yep, that ball Huff hit was seriously one step away from him, and he could only muster a half a step. Perfect example of how there was no error on that play, but Yuni's lack of anything resembling range caused a hit instead of an out.
  16. Seemed especially foolish with Fielder at the plate and Rickie scoring on just about anything with two outs
  17. Bill was saying he is a slick fielding middle infielder, but Bill says a lot of things. PS nice DP by Marcum there. This guys is just great.
  18. PLUSH!!! Good to see Nyjer make an appearance with the fly out there.
  19. I know a while back we were doing a Madison area Brewerfan team. Is that still going on? I am moving back to WI from NM and looking for a fall softball league to join. If there isn't enough interest any Madison BF'ers know how a softballer can get back in the loop in Madison in regards to softball?
  20. Slugging is way down for this year compared to '09 and '10 but BA and OBP are just a tad off. He had almost 1100 PA's at +.800 OPS. I am having a hard time believing this is the "real" McGehee. I think there is much more evidence to suggest that he is going through a rough spell and I am guessing he makes an adjustment and goes on a hot streak. Will it be enough to match his first two seasons? Probably not, but he's dug too large of [expletive deleted] for that. I still think he has a very respectable season though.
