  1. I've got a buddy who came up with a nick-name for Betancourt...pretty hilarious. "0-2" Classic!
  2. Can we go out and bring Shouse out of retirement?!
  3. Thanks for that breakdown pebadger! I was checking out the schedule for the second half and felt very confident about all of the interdivisional games we play. As long as we take care of StL when we play them, we should be good to go.
  4. What a pathetic line-up! Good thing we're going up against Duke tonight, otherwise it would be a sure-fire loss. At least now, we have a chance. If you're going with those batters, why not put McGehee in at the #3 so that he can see some good pitches. Weeks, Lucroy, McGehee, Fielder, Hart, Betancourt, Wilson, Gomez. That would make a lot more sense than what RR has jotted out there.
  5. I'm sorry but all of you sabermetrics and stats guys can say all you want, but Greinke is flat out not pitching well. It is officially time to consider him a dog so far this season. He's had three good outings, the rest of the season he has been a #5 starter. I'm hoping the best for him, but he flat out stinking up the joint so far this season.
  6. Lucroy should be protecting him. Lucroy has some pop and is getting on base. He's also shown that he can be clutch (not sure what his RISP average is), but I'd rather have him protecting Casey than Betancourt.
  7. For NY and Minny series... Weeks Morgan Braun Fielder Hart Gamel McGehee Lucroy Betancourt. I understand McGehee and Hart would most likely be switched, but if I were RR, I would have Hart backing up Fielder.
  8. I like me some Tommy Toledo! Very high ceiling...just needs to add some physical development and strength. I'm going to keep my eyes on this kid.
  9. That was a bad throw by Betancourt, no doubt...but c'mon Prince! That was a routine stab that Prince and any other 1B should have had. Prince is displaying horrible defense lately.
  10. Can someone explain what the numbers after each player means? I see this every game and have no clue what they mean. Each number stands for a position on the scorecard. 1 - P 2 - C 3 - 1B 4 - 2B 5 - 3B 6 - SS 7 - LF 8 - CF 9 - RFThanks Prince.

  12. Let's just say that when I was growing up, one of my favorite things to watch was Robin Yount going from 1st to 3rd. His strides were perfect and it was just a great thing to watch. Ryan Braun is beginning to get to that point for me...not exactly there just yet, but he sure is fun to watch run the bases!
  13. With Garland pitching tonight...we should expect to see: Weeks, Counsel, Braun, Fielder, McGehee, Hart, Boggs, Lucroy, Marcum. Please no Kotsay!!
  14. I would assume you weren't saying this a couple of weeks ago when Randy was pitching awesome.
  15. Something's gotta be wrong with Hart for him to sit out 2 days in a row. There's absolutely no reason for him to be sitting today other than an injury.
  16. With the slump that our offense is demonstrating, here's an idea RR....Get Gomez out of the #2 hole! Put Lucroy or Hart in there and have Gomez down at the bottom. Those are two way more viable options at this point in the season. Not sure what you're waiting for!
  17. There's just so many BLEEPs I could write down here. Thanks Gomez!
  18. I know I know... I had a momentary lapse of reasoning and ran with it. Thanks for getting me back on track.
  19. First and foremost, I love Prince Fielder! I want to thank Prince for playing his heart out every single game for the Brewers. I will always cheer for him and never boo him when he leaves for a different team. I only blame him for chosing Boras as his agent. I am rooting for Fielder to help lead us to the promise land this year!!! With that said and Braun's new contract, Fielder is as good as gone (not that he wasn't prior to the contract signing), and the Crew will need to look to the future at 1B. According to MLBTR, here's the list of notable free agent 1B this offseason. First basemen Garrett Atkins (32) Lance Berkman (36) Russell Branyan (36) Jorge Cantu (30) Michael Cuddyer (33) Edwin Encarnacion (29) - $3.5MM club option Prince Fielder (28) Ross Gload (36) Brad Hawpe (33) Eric Hinske (34) - $1.5MM club option with a $100K buyout Nick Johnson (33) Casey Kotchman (29) Mark Kotsay (36) Derrek Lee (36) Xavier Nady (33) Lyle Overbay (35) Carlos Pena (34) Albert Pujols (32) Nick Swisher (31) - $10.25MM club option with a $1MM buyout I'm not really enjoying that list, cuz we're obvisouly not going to go after Pujols...maybe Swisher. However, I had a thought and wanted to hear what you all thought of it. What is the likelihood that they convert Braun into a 1B? I'm thinking it would be easier for the Brewers to find an OF that could replace Braun, than to find a legit replacement for Fielder at 1B. Are we relying on Gamel to take over 1B or could Gamel play LF...or use Gamel as trade bait and get us a legit 1B/OF??? I also heard someone bring up a good point today that at some point in Braun's career, he'll probably have to be converted to a 1B due to his age and playing in the NL.
  20. I'm just upset that he's proving his skeptics right. All spring training, all I heard was people worried about Axford and I defended him (not necessarily on this board, but w/in my social network) saying the guy's got a good head on his shoulders and was 24-27 with good stuff. I wasn't worried about him in the slightest. Now, I'm just upset that he's making me look like a fool. I'm still not that worried, he'll get his swag back at some point....but it better come soon, cuz the brass is probably starting to get the itch to look at other options. Let's go Ax!
  21. 7/154 with the clause that Prince can opt out after 4 years is definitely a possibility. Especially if Prince can continue to mold well with Roenicke and wants to keep playing for him and his fellow teammates (winning team) for the next several years. I won't be surprised in the slightest if we see this occur.
