  2. McGehee has no protection. Once Hart comes back, McGehee's stats will skyrocket. Gomez is Gomez...not sure why he's still starting. It's Plush Time in Miltown.
  3. sounds about right to me.
  4. Way to go Ax! Where are all those "done" people now? Just makes me laugh when I hear them on the radio. Bring on the sCrUBS!
  5. I love the intensity behind the plate that nieves demonstrates. It's like he's putting on a show for all of us back there. I think lucroy's bat is going to surprise people this year. As much as I agree that tony plush should be hitting 2, I think RR did the right thing this early in the season. Cargo needs some confidence.
  6. Rickie has proven that he's just as productive in the leadoff and he's comfortable there. With that said, I'm a huge fan of the idea of Morgan leading off with Week's in the #2. When all healthy.... Morgan, Weeks, Braun, Fielder, McGehee, Hart, Lucroy, Betancourt. This would make me very happy.
  7. Can't wait to see Marcum! Almonte gets the nod instead of Morgan...interesting.
  8. Now that we now the roster...here we go. 1) Weeks 2) Gomez 3) Braun 4) Fielder 5) McGehee 6) Kotsay 7) Kotaras 8) Betancourt This is going to be a pretty potent line-up once Hart and Lucroy get back. I'm still on board with Lucroy being my 'surprise' player of the year. Once this occurs, my line-up will change to Weeks, Gomez, Braun, Fielder, McGehee, Hart, Betancourt, Lucroy.
  9. I would have liked the switch hitting ability of Boggs. Good luck Boggs.
  10. I like the depth we now have in our outfield. Hoping Boggs makes it over Reed, but I won't be upset if Reed makes it. Gomez needs to learn how to take a walk, but I no doubt want Gomez starting over Morgan.
  11. I'm heading to Spring Training on Monday and I'm very upset with the fact that I spent LOTS of money to go to ST to see Greinke and Marcum pitch and I'm not going to be able to see either one of them. Hurry back Shaun! We need you healthy!
  12. According to TH, (see his blog) Schafer is scheduled to have surgery on Thursday.
  13. I'm very happy to see no reports coming out of today's game where Braun left in the 3rd inning right after he struck out. I was hoping it wasn't because of any pains in his rib-cage/intercostal.
  14. Voted for Rage. Would have liked For Whom the Bell Tolls, but it's just too close to Hells Bells. He's gotta distinguish himself differently from the Hoffmeister. When The Ax comes out of that BP, it's time to Rage!

  16. I'm not sure Injuries were on everyone's mind when this topic first came about.
  17. We'll pull this out again. Please lets not give one of our worst hitters more plate appearances than necessary. And while we're at it, lets not play small ball and give up outs in front of Braun, Fielder, Hart, McGehee. What's wrong with playing small ball if it goes along with the offensive strategy of the ball club? Gomez is/was one of our worst hitters last year when Power was the mindframe shelled out by Macha. With Roenicke managing now, Gomez's ability falls right in line with what Roenicke wants to do. In that case, I'm not going to say Gomez is going to become one of our best hitters, but him doing what he can in the 2 hole could produce to many more runs...like you said...in front of Braun, Fielder, Hart and McGehee. Earlier, you posted a line-up based off of the plate appearances.... Weeks Fielder Braun Hart McGehee Lucroy Counsel Pitcher GomezFrankly, I don't see any scenario that has Roenicke putting Fielder in the 2 hole. Maybe switch Braun and Fielder and you have have something, but no way is Fielder ever going to be in the 2 hole.
  18. Greinke!!! I'm also interested to see how Hunter Morris does. Can't wait to get down to AZ in three weeks.
  19. Betancourt with a base hit. MVP MVP MVP! Weeks showing off the agressive base running! Should keep Uecker on his toes. This is going to be fun
  20. Betancourt 1-1 for put-outs. 1.000 fielding % Not sure what you all are talking about. Marcum with K #1 http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  21. My vote is Stand up and Shout or For Whom the Bells Tolls
  22. No - they wouldn't risk re-injuring the finger.Yeah, kinda figured, but I was hoping that he just put his right arm/hand behind his back. Hury back Lucroy.
  23. Well, Lucroy will be out of the line-up, so there's a change already. Weeks, Gomez, Braun, Fielder, McGehee, Hart, Betancourt, Rivera/Kottaras/Nieves, Pitcher Too bad! I was really getting excited for Lucroy.
