  1. I had a nice home brewed Saison.
  2. That sucks. Molina would have been a good buy to go after for a DP.
  3. No, most were close to being strikes, it's just that he should've had better situational awareness and made him throw one down the pipe before swinging with less than two strikes. They really weren't, the only one close was the second outside fastball. But besides that they weren't pitches you could handle, especially with Yuni being late on everything. That is Yuni's approach and has been all year. He isn't looking for a pitch he can hit well, he is just looking to make contact, but hey, at least he doesn't strike out much.
  4. Crap, Fielder is already playing for the Cards. I guess he is all time DH for the game.
  5. This board should be nothing but rainbows and gumdrops all the time. Never anything negative said. Each thread should be just a positive statement and 40 pages of "ditto." Just because people have a negative view of one or many things does not mean they are not enjoying the season. If you don't like any negativity, I don't know what to say other than maybe the internet isn't for you.
  6. So people can see her boobs better of course. I for one applaud her decision to brush her hair out of the way. To be honest I have really only noticed her once or twice. If I want to look at pretty women there are plenty of pictures on the internet. I don't watch baseball games for the pretty women.
  7. I know they played well but the Braves went 9-18 in September. They also went 3-9 over the last 4 series of the year including 0-5 over the last 5 games. The only thing keeping them from being a big story was the Red Sox epic collapse.
  8. You forgot replacing Weeks and Hat on defense but still leaving Yuni in. It is unfortunate but I feel the same way. We won but his decision making has been pretty suspect.
  9. The Braves had a historic collapse to allow the Cards into the post season. Don't forget on September 1st the Braves had the same record we did. We played poorly the last month but the Braves played even worse.
  10. Bringing up how awful he is when discussing the bullpen, team ERA, outfield defense, outfield depth, the third base situation, who chews bubble gum in the dugout or any number or other unrelated topics was less fine. Some of those topics are very much related to Yuni. The third base and outfield discussions in particular when we start talking about Hairston who could play SS. I will agree that how bad he is shouldn't come up in a bubblegum discussion.
  11. The fact of the matter is that Hairston had a good PA, hit a ball really hard that Young made a good play on. Yuni had a crappy PA, blooped a ball into center and we are supposed to apologize to him for being lucky?
  12. I said "good job Yuni." I acknowledge some of his play has helped us but I also can't leave out his poor play has hurt us much more.
  13. Probably the same person.
  14. Thanks to the Cards I can somewhat tolerate the Cubs.
  15. He was bashed by a group of people on here because WAR/UZR said he was a bad player before he ever donned a Brewer uniform - they aren't going to change their opinion now. It wasn't just the stats. Scouts and fans also hated his defense. Yuni could homer every at bat for the rest of this post season and play great D and some people wouldn't change their opinion on here because UZR says he doesn't have good range. He doesn't have good range. That is easy to see watching him play. It is ridiculous to think people are just using the stats. The guy that has deserved all the Yuni hate was his partner for most of the season on that side of the infield - and he is rightfully on the bench now. McGehee had some success in recent seasons. Yuni never had any success. There was reason to think McGehee could hit better. People were calling for McGehee to be benched by the middle of June. Yes McGehee probably should be on the bench. So should Yuni. If either play I hope they hit a HR ever time up and make 3 spectacular plays every inning. After the season is over I hope Yuni is cut and McGehee is sent to the bench. I am not going to apologize to Yuni for his play making me think he stinks. I think it is ridiculous to apologize to such a bad player for his poor play. I take his blooper as the start of an apology for being a big steaming pile of suck most of this year.
  16. Cut him now and start Hairston at SS. Good job YunE don't let the door hit you on the way out. Overall he still costs us more than his sporadic bloopers help us. For every blooper there are several "hits" that are outs with a halfway competent defensive SS.
