My guess is different contracts. One includes his whole contract and one is just the extension.
  2. When did he get hurt?
  3. Because of deferred money, Braun is never paid more than $15m a year in any year.
  4. It is pretty naive to just assume, at this point, that 2012 was a "Post PED" year. I'd prefer to just look at him "Post PED suspension", and he hasn't looked anywhere near the same. Yes there've been lots of injuries, but lots of injuries are symptomatic of a player no longer being on PED's. I'm not saying that I am 100% certain on this, but it certainly looks suspicious It's really not. He was likely tested a ton during the '12 season. Doesn't mean he wasn't using something. Just means he didn't get caught. Just like he didn't get caught for years before.
  5. I know where you stand. My response was not to you but to the people saying some people are overreacting to a few games.
  6. Let's not pretend like this is some knee jerk reaction to the first few games. These concerns are not new. They were the same concerns many people had last year and the year before.
  7. There do measure base running and the Brewers are exactly average in 2014.
  8. He was drafted as a 3B. He was moved to 3B in college.
  9. All of those things could easily be true. It really wouldn't be shocking if they were. I hope none are true but I think at least half probably are. It is really easy seeing the Brewers win between 70 and 85 games. The bolded statements above are the ones I have the most fear of being true in 2015. If those prove to be true, I see the Brewers in the 75-77 win range. If, like you said, all are true, then they are a 70 win team. If none are true, the Brewers are contenders in 2015 and legitimate threats to win the NL Central as I think mid-80s win total will win the Central this year. *Braun is done as a superstar and is merely average-I think this may be possible *Ramirez is done. Period.-I don't think he is done but I don't think he is a full time player anymore *Gomez reverts to the pre-2013 Gomez-this may be possible, maybe not this year yet, his game relies on his athleticism *Segura is who he has been for the past year and a half-I think he is better than that but not as good as his all star half season *Scooter cannot hit LHP and hits .260 as a full time player-I think Scooter needs to be platooned *Lind cannot stay healthy-not really concerned with this *Lohse is done. Period.-hopefully not yet but a real possibility *Fiers is a fluke-his stuff makes this a very real possibility *Nelson is not ready to be an everyday #5-Not really worried about this
  10. All of those things could easily be true. It really wouldn't be shocking if they were. I hope none are true but I think at least half probably are. It is really easy seeing the Brewers win between 70 and 85 games.
  11. Anything in the first 4 rows of a section on the first base side.
  12. No. Just no. Stop it.
  13. I would rather not have to download another app and create another account. If I remember correctly Tapatalk had a much different interface than the website. Not in a good way either. Edit: Yeah don't like Tapatalk. No idea what I have or have not read. Completely foreign interface. Not worth my time.
  14. Yup, managers and general managers usually have an extra year beyond the year they are currently in. Kind of a severance package.
  15. All Boras cares about is money. Bryant will go to the highest bidder.
  16. There is zero reason to call him up in 2014 or have him up for the whole season in 2015 unless they are playoff contenders. It would be stupid to give away a year of service time and the money it would cost.
  17. Not sure why that really matters since all our outfielders are right handed.
  18. If Scooter stays Scooter he may not be much more than replacement level. Huh? He's been about a 2.5 WAR per season player so far in his career so he is average to above average. He is nowhere near replacement level. I dunno if he can do that while playing every day mind you but if he stays what he has been is way above replacement. He has to hit much better vs LHP to stay above replacement.
  19. If Scooter stays Scooter he may not be much more than replacement level.
  20. If we have Parra maybe our manager gives Gomez and Braun a few more days off so they can stay healthier for the whole season.
  21. I don't think he can play full time anymore. That seemed fairly clear last year and was one of the big concerns when he originally signed with us.
  22. Yeah it's kind of a list of who's won and not had to change logos to rebrand themselves. Except the Cubs. People love some losers.
  23. I have a hard time believing they will send Davis down and have Parra as the main LF. I think a more likely scenario is Davis and Parra are both on the club with Parra as a backup playing 2 days a week. He probably ends up with around 400+ PA.
  24. There is a reason guys are drafted in the first round though. So the questions is, are they in the top 100 because they were drafted in the first round or were they drafted in the first round because they were talented enough to be ranked in the top 100 prospects?
  25. I thought you meant mold from the old guys.
