  1. Roache has meh inducing stats in AA---Choice has made it to the majors and produced meh inducing stats there. Neither are good, but saying Choice is worse than Roache is wrong.
  2. Trey Supak would have been a steal on his own for Jason Rogers.
  3. Isan Diaz is making an argument for #2 in the system. And there is no way he's in AA before he has at least 200-250 ab's in High A. I think he will play the whole season in carolina. I agree about top 25 by the end of the year.
  4. I think Barnes and Knebel are the best bets to get traded with out wrecking the future at the moment. Sure, the pen is starting to look like a weak spot and these are the only two that haven't been horrible (outside of yesterday), but they are also high value, and as they are proving by essentially replacing Jeffress and Thornburg, not as hard to replace as some of you guys think.
  5. your list narrows it down to both cy youngs, kershaw, a former cy young, and two other top line aces. only 46 guys threw 180 innings last year. I think you need to rethink your measure based on actual standards in 2017; the numbers you are giving are unrealistically high. a 2/3 starter should be able to pitch 180-190 innings hopefully and give you a sub 3.90 era. Which might also be wishful thinking, since only 36 pitchers managed to do that last year. in fact, 180 ip with a sub 3.90 era= 29 dudes. so, I guess that makes you a number 1 starter. lol. I hate these arguments because they are all semantics. Everyone here wants Chase Anderson to be better than my hypothetical #1 starter baseline, but I give those number to show just how rare pitchers that perform better than that have become.
  6. top Three: 1. Branyan 2. Tim Dillard 3. Neugebauer Thames is gonna be a cult hero for about 1 more week, and then he's gonna be the face of the MLB. He's gonna have the most votes for the allstar game and win the hr derby.
  7. I like santana 10x more than Broxton. Santana's 17/9 k/bb rate is actually as BIG step in the right direction so far for him, whereas Broxton's 25/3 is not. As everyone knows, Santana is several years younger than Broxton, so I think his leash is much longer. Broxton is looking more like a 4th outfielder every day. I'd bring up Cordell or Phillips before Brinson just because I want us to get the full value of Lewis Brinson. I also don't want Brinson to come up until he figures out his own bb/k rate issues a little bit.
  8. Anderson had a pretty good second half last year---not as good as he is currently pitching, obviously, but this is looking like a pretty decent run of sustained success. I think he would make a decent trade candidate for someone.
  9. I could easily see Hernan Perez taking starts away from Broxton and Santana in short order.
  10. I strongly disagree with the mentality of keeping a guy just because we can afford him. I'm not arguing that we should trade him, but we need more of a reason to keep a guy beyond just being financially able to. Okay, here's one. Braun is still one of the permier bats in all of baseball, and should be for next couple seasons at worst. Nobody they are likely to acquire in a deal or they currently have in the minors is likely to replace his production until 2019 at the earliest but more likely 2020 if at all. If they want any chance of competing before 2020, they should hold on to Braun. Certainly if someone knocks them out with an offer, ok, but the names discussed to this point aren't in that category. I agree with John. The return of value being discussed in most of these proposals just doesn't make dealing Braun worth it. He's not harming the team---In fact, quite the opposite. Stearns is also smart enough to realize that Milwaukee is probably the only market where Braun has a positive impact on the fans, instead of a hugely negative one. For everyone that accuses Stearns of being adhd with trades and waiver additions, I think Braun's still being on this team proves Stearn's cautious and calculated nature. Braun has more value to the Brewers as both a player (and a draw at the ticket window) than he does to other teams, so why trade him? Until proven otherwise, he stays a Brewer.
  11. Pirates have taken a left turn directly off a cliff here lately.
  12. You do realize this is the trade forum, right? where people come to discuss this sort of thing? Or do you just have to get a word into every conversation? It's super annoying.
  13. acquired by the Orioles for more of that International Cap space that they clearly don't want
  14. Dfa'd by the Giants---apparently they are looking to trade him. excellent minor league numbers http://www.milb.com/player/index.jsp?player_id=607185#/career/R/pitching/2017/ALL
  15. I feel like Tyrone Taylor still has a breakout season inside of him somewhere
  16. Yeah they have guys versatile enough to stink at several positions. http://img.mylot.com/2017336.jpg
  17. Suter had just as big a beef to complain about as Cravy, he just didn't air it out in public
  18. I love it when John Pines for the good ol' days of 2015. Do you wish the Brewers had extended Prince Fielder?
  19. Maybe they were watching Jimmy Jam Nelson Pitch that AAA game today.
  20. I have a ton of Brewers clothing, but I also have a braves shirt that I bought as a joke. It occasionally gets worn--- as a joke, I swear! It's not even in English! I also wear my ball in glove hat when I wear it to cause confusion. Also, I basically live in Atlanta. I'm sorry.
  21. Bell is 2 ab's from losing eligibility on most lists, so he won't be on any midseason lists. Erceg and Diaz both have crazy helium and look to be big time risers.
  22. Play Shaw at 1b and Perez and 3b; Santana in Left, Phillips in AA
