  1. Bnady's on fire in AAA, maybe we can flip Vogt. lol
  2. it's gonna cost almost 2 million to do this. They must've liked Vogt for awhile.
  3. uhh? I half expected Krod, but vogt? I don't get it
  4. I normally wear a m-L so, XL should be fine. I went ahead and grabbed a cheap one of ebay. Thanks for the sizing advice!
  5. i guess XL---wonder why no L option?
  6. I live in Georgia, so attending the game is out. Someone want to get one for me and mail it to me? I'll pay a reasonable price plus s/h. Brad
  7. It's just an unreal year so far.
  8. I've spend the whole week feeling this. I've been in Florida, since Last Friday, in Brevard County, of all places, and it has poured for 9 consecutive days. I'm so glad the Brewers got out of here, even if I could have gotten to see them play last week (just kidding! they'd have washed out every game!)
  9. here's a super fluffy piece on Caden lemons, who, it turns out, is from the same neighborhood I spent age 10-18 in---we played at the same little league, although, im old now: http://www.ledger-enquirer.com/sports/mlb/article155978354.html Pat Jackson Bass was one happy grandmother Tuesday. The Columbus woman was celebrating the selection of her grandson in the second round of the Major League Baseball Draft. Caden Lemons, a right-handed pitcher from Vestavia Hills High School near Birmingham, was taken with the 46th overall pick by the Milwaukee Brewers. Lemons started his baseball career in Columbus, playing at Northern Little League before the family moved to Vestavia Hills when he was 11. “I have talked to him a couple of times today, and he’s happy,” Bass said. She said they have been laughing about a story that happened when he was a 7- or 8-year-old player at Northern. “One of the parents said, ‘We’re going to see him playing for the Braves one day after he caught everything that was hit,” she said. “I was taking him home after that game and he asked me, ‘Ga Ga, do you think I am going to play for Braves? I told him sure. He said when he did he was going to buy me a big Cadillac. We still laugh about that.” Longtime Northern Little League Coach Randy Morris remembers Lemons as a youngster in ‘A’ ball. “I remember I wanted to draft him, but by the time I got a pick he was already gone,” said Morris, who has taken two teams to the Little League World Series and won it in 2006. “I know he played ‘A’ ball one year with us as a 10 year old, then they moved. And a 10-year-old in ‘A’ ball is only going to be so good.” Morris believes that Lemons, who had signed with Ole Miss, might be the highest draft choice to come out of Northern Little League, one of the nation’s top programs. “It all starts here,” Morris said of Little League. “I guarantee you we will claim him.” The Brewers see a lot of potential with the 6-foot-6 Lemons and a wicked fastball that has been clocked in the upper 90s, Brewers scouting director Tod Johnson told MLB.com. “Super exciting,” Johnson said. “He's lean, lanky, really quick arm, really good fastball, developing secondary. We saw a lot of his starts. … This guy has a ton of upside.” Lemons is the son of Missy and Donnie Lemons, both Columbus natives. “I know the whole family,” Morris said. “They are a great family and this couldn’t happen to nicer people.” Chuck Williams: 706-571-8510, @chuckwilliams Caden Lemons, who played Little League baseball for Northern in Columbus, caught the eye of pro scouts at Vestavia Hills High School. 10. I love this pick---Looks like he has an awesome well developed hit tool and will play middle infield. I'd much rather have this than roll the dice on a high school arm. Great pick
  11. I think the Brewers should buy low on a former MVP corner outfielder around the all star break. No prospects, just pay his salary. After Braun, I think the brewers should empty the rubbish on Feliz, and maybe 2-3 other guys in the pen. I don't really care who replaces them, but I'm ready to see different faces in the pen. I still kind've like Nick Franklin. But, when the next Eric Sogard or Jesus Aguilar shows up on waivers, I hope that dude gets Franklin's spot. After that, I kinda want to see what this group of guys can do without any outside assistance. This is still kind've a hold harmless year, and even though it would be cool to win the division, I don't think most fans will be angry at the Brewers if they don't win the division. Sort've the exact opposite of the epic collapse a couple years ago.
  12. Changes are coming, no doubt.
  13. I really like Christian Yelich, But he's not going to make the brewers any better than they are right now. In fact, Domingo Santana--- the hitter looks like a better player than Yelich does right now ---never mind defense.
  14. I would imagine those moves are coming pretty soon
  15. I'm with you---I'm rooting for Tim in both Baseball and Media ways.
  16. you can always move one of these guys to 1b and thames to the of, or at least give that a try. It's been talked about for years. Thames looks to be half decent in a corner.
  17. That's the truth. Still, i think it's keon that eventually gets traded, not Domingo.
  18. Santana MLB OPS .820 Brinson MiLB OPS .879 this gets a little closer every day... Domingo Santana is a 24 year old with a .370 OBP. He's kind've turning into what Christian Yelich was supposed to be. Brinson isn't coming up unless someone gets traded. But I'm not sure it's not Brinson that gets traded. In fact, both Cordell and Phillips are out hitting Brinson in CS.
  19. But he's a key part of a first place team a quarter into the season and rebuilds guarantee nothing. The object of rebuilds is to build a contender that can sustain it for few seasons. Well right now they are contending and almost the entire roster is under team control for 2 more years. Can't believe I'm saying this but if they are contending in July and Garza is still pitching well, they need to keep him. Then after the season, they can pick up his option and see what his market is this winter. I agree with your sentiments about 24/25 players on the roster, but not Matt Garza, simply because I think we have better options in the minors, and Garza is the most logical option to move that is blocking them. Also, his last two seasons demonstrate that he will regress and that this is simply the grace period before he gets hurt/quits randomly/starts sucking/punches sogard/etc.---so he should be traded.
  20. i'm sure peralta will get a chance to be the long man or something before they just cut him, but you've got to think there's just no reason to keep him in the rotation
  21. I watch all 9 innings of about 75% of the games and try and catch the rest on the radio or at least on gamecast. How my wife and children haven't murdered me yet, I don't know. Although, I can say with pride that my wife and 4 year old daughter have met Uecker, randomly, when we were at Miller park two years ago, and were both pretty stocked when it happened, so I know they are fans too. God bless the extra innings package. I have to be the only person in Columbus, GA that watches this much Brewers baseball.
  22. This was an easy move. No reason to keep Jhan at all. Peralta has got to be on life support at this point as well.
  23. I hope Garza buys Sogard's wife some flowers after Sogard bought him a W
  24. Kirk isn't on the 40 man. they'd have to put someone on the 60 day. I think Kirk is done with the Brewers.
  25. Early? This trade is already at the "highway robbery" stage. It's trending towards greatest trade in franchise history territory. Kidding aside, does anyone know how hard Supak is throwing these days? His results this season have been excellent.
