  1. world series. and then they can lose 100 games for the next decade. but please win the world series before i die.
  2. Joey Meyer very close on Jake Arrieta here! We’re almost out of free agents, and I gotta say, I cannot wait for this dumb offseason to be over.
  3. the 3/42 is obviously just HH referring to where i predicted that in the "Brewers Free Agent Prediction Thread" on January 21st.
  4. counterpoint: I think Perez is fighting for his roster spot with Aguilar and Broxton. If they bring in Neil Walker or someone like that, or make a trade, Perez is gone.
  5. all the other boras clients are signing with the teams theyve been linked to all winter for the bottom end of their estimates. Based on that, the Brewers are probably about to sign arrieta for like 4-5 years in the 80-100 million range so that guy was throwing conventional wisdom at you
  6. Nunez is official to the red sox, 2 years, 8 million (hey, i nailed the money) There will obviously continue to be a waterfall of signings in the next week or so
  7. let's let him update twitter when he wants and keep discussion about Cobb here. There's no need to copy every tweet to this forum
  8. Good luck on twitter! We work hard to make this place as nice as we can, even though some think we overdo it sometimes, it's certainly never personal, nor intentional. Twitter, on the other hand, is a dumpster fire on the titanic. Goodtimes. @Brewerworld is already excited about it.
  9. There were several close to the brewers offer to Darvish in here. Everyone should place their bets on how much we are gonna overpay for Arrieta/Cobb/Lynn now
  10. You don’t need to respond to every post. Don’t tell people to relax. Not responding at all is the best solution 99% of the time when you think there is a misunderstanding online.
  11. Brewer world is a parody account of brewernation. He posts every rumor he reads on twitter and here. Then retweets the ones that happen right when they happen. You could do the exact same. You would also look like a genie to people who aren’t constantly on twitter.
  12. What would that look like? I imagine Stroman would be Santana and Burnes at least. Maybe Santana straight up for Travis? The Blue Jays have Devon Travis on the bench right now behind Yangervis Solarte and Tulo. He's their Villar
  13. What does Toronto need/have? Santana seems like their kind of guy. stroman and devon travis
  14. Power hitters are probably the least valuable they have ever been actually. so true. The brewers could get Mark reynolds or lucas duda on a minor league contract at this point and add a 30 hr threat. There's no shortage of power in the league at all. The real scarcity right now is on high obp guys with a hit tool that don't strike out. Good news! the brewers added two of the best tonight.
  15. KC makes more and more sense as I've been thinking about it. They've lost their whole roster in the last couple days and they really don't have much use for whats left of the old playoff squad. Duffy is damaged goods thanks to the arrest and merrifield is a sell high. That really could be the package. there'd be more on the brewers side. maybe Hernan? maybe woodruff?
  16. there it is. Since we know you aren't fooling around for sure now, we can get serious with our guess work!
  17. Santana gets traded.
  18. Lol. Announced as I posted the above. Wow!!!
  19. Speaking emotionally, I’m all for this. I love Lorenzo Cain. Along with Braun and molitor, Cain is one of my all time favorite players. I’d love for the crew to bring him back. I think it happens. This is a great time to be a fan!
  20. Ironically, I think I'm more comfortable moving Arcia than I am with trading Brinson.
  21. If they were to trade Arcia, then this deal would b similar to when the Brewers traded Escobar to the royals. And the Brewers actually have multiple in house options to replace Orlando---Villar, Hernan, Dubon. They just aren't as good.
  22. Had a very similar experience where a Brewers area scout told me directly who the brewers were going to draft in round 1 of the draft many years ago. Turns out, he wasn't telling the truth, because these guys get asked these questions a lot, and they;d get in trouble if they just straight up told every person that asked them. We did stay friendly next time I saw him though.
  23. From John Heyman: lorenzo cain has begun informing some teams they are out of consideration. unclear exactly how close he is to a final call, though, as he's believed to be weighing a variety of offers. Wonder where the Brewers are in this... we know they’ve been connected
  24. It's neither. It's buy low and sell high with timing being the key. Adios Monte
