  1. technically, moss moved up a ton from where i had him before the season started :P
  2. actually just the three of us this time---brad, patrick, and jim...
  3. posted! and with a new number 1 to boot...you can blame me and patrick for that...
  4. zach jackson with 23k's to 9 walks...a 2.5 k/bb... that's good stuff...
  5. I'm with you guys...but he's on pace to strike out about 180 times over a 600 ab season... he's got crazy potential...
  6. If i get to see him pitch, i'll go as in depth as possible...otherwise, it'll just be a paragraph or two...
  7. i agree that's the reason he's still in WV, but i view that as a problem he can work on as a moves up the chain...i'm sure the real reason he's in WV is because he got jumped by Cole GIllespie and Chuck Fermaint was held back..
  8. any idea how hard he throws toby? he's probably added velocity since he was drafted..
  9. The Farm hops for April is up...check it out, then tear me a new one right here....
  10. Periard, Like Zach Braddock and Mike McClendon has been phenomenal at WV this year... But I'm with you doug, i think I've been waiting on Periard for 10 years, even though he's only 19...
  11. We had reports from Zach himself last week that he's an 89-91 kinda guy...I'm going to speak to him in a couple of weeks, and hopefully see him pitch so i'll try to verify this.. for a lefty, a 91 MPH fastball is pretty good...i'd be more concerened about the lack of overpowering velocity if he was a righty... Not to compare him to anyone, as i've never seen him pitch, but he throws harder than Jeff Housman and not as hard as Manny Parra
  12. Carlos' Player Profile John--- While this is a fantastic run for Carlos---and i sincerely hope he's turned the corner---this is his fifth season in the minors... This is just Cole Gillespie's 1st full season...
  13. I was wondering this as well...I think when Braun moves to the majors, Rottino will be the full time 3b, so Rivera could be the utility type guy and the sounds could carry three catchers... but for now, i dont think they'll promote lou until mid season..
  14. Braddock will make the list...but he's got to maintain a high level of performance to get near the top 10...
  15. Hernan Irribarren He can't really play any other positions...he's not a great 2b, actually
  16. Neugie is retired...since i think early 2005
  17. is this game national? Or am i going to be stuck with some east coast game?
  18. i live 6 feet from the road in an old hosue...all sounds are as if i were outside...harley davidsons drown out my television when they drive by... saying this pisses me does not go far enough... if my car were that loud, i'd fail inspection...why are there so few restrictions on motorcycle noise emission?
  19. as good as menchkind have been this year, jenks at 9 and mench at 5 is beyond insanity for a platoon in LF next year... for that kind of cash, the brewers ought to find someone better...for LF or anywhere... gross and rottino would play average to above average in LF for less than a million...
  20. I'm ready to try someone who might actually stick with the big club for more than a week or two...DFA spurling and bring up Bray...they sent him to fall ball, so they must like him... if not bray, then thatcher....i'm tired of has been's soaking up space...let's give someone who could help for years a chance... jsoe capellan is dead to me...well, not really...but he isnt good enough to go terrell on us...
  21. because both started the year at brevard and the one no one expected to mash did, while the high ranking prospect got off to a slow start...
  22. Cole has been struggling at home, and doing very well on the road...its pretty common down there..
  23. The Errecart-Gillespie duo reminds me of the Katin-Braun duo from last season... Cole is doing ok...he's striking out a bit much, but he's still getting on base and hitting for ok power...if you check his splits, you'll see he's being eaten alive at Space Coast stadium
  24. Final, Game Two: Brevard County 2, St. Lucie (Mets) 1 Brevard County Box Score: David Welch throws five no-hit innings...Carlos Corporan still on fire as well (something about catchers these days...) www.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb..._breafa_2 Brevard County Game Log www.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb..._breafa_2
