  1. Isn't this common in just about every profession? Yes but that wouldnt be honest if I said thats the only reason why jj did what he did. People dont seem to realize what free agency in 2018 would have looked like for jj. Mil gave him a chance to make the most money AND stay home. It isnt perfect but jj is thrilled and really I did my job. His wish list was to max out $ while trying to stay in Mil ultimately he made final call. I support him
  2. Member of mil staff. Team gave permission but it was denied.
  3. Structurally he can make 2.2 mil each year in incentives. JJ put his personal well being above all else. I can shed some insight on why milwaukee works. 1. They drafted him 2. They never gave up on him despite off field issues 3. His entire sobriety network was set up and run by mil staff. Mlb would not allow last I had asked to let mil dr treat jj while a member of another club which is bs. But story for dif day. 4. Fans NEVER gave up here. Check how it went elsewhere 5. The city took him in and embraced him as a person. 6. Security of a deal. In a vacuum do we do this deal? No. Never. But given everything JJ faced he got alot of what he wanted. Life changing $? A multi year commitment despite the fact the club COULD decline options put his mind to rest that mil is finally home. I view the options as so valuable theyre almost impossible to decline (barring injury) which is the real thorny part of the deal that was bitter to swallow. 7. Most importantly, he really gets to be himself and he hasnt been able to find that elsewhere.

  5. Will be in mil fri....doing standup fri 11 pm too
  6. Individually sure All 30 teams....impossible
  7. That 2/20 was last year before the season ended. Walker and Lucroy aren’t going to get numbers close to what’s being thrown around on here IMHO. Some players have already signed discounted deals, the ones who don’t cave will be waiting for the phone to ring. A lot of players are getting bad advice from their agents. I had an exchange on Twitter about a month ago with Josh Kusnick and he really had zero clue or feel for this market, all he did is cried collusion because agents/players are/were getting desperate. He has since blocked me on Twitter which I take as a compliment. No, youre right. My guy avoided fa and signed and I had a bad read on the market vs a fan. Im glad I blocked you. Ill figure that out here too.

  9. The agents of players will tell you the stuff being reported isn't accurate. Then offer no facts or evidence to the contrary, but trust them...the players are all getting screwed. Media owes evidence not agents. I have a job and the burden isnt on me. Also those reported offers are bull. Source. My 15 years as an agent. Also commish citimg his own network.

  11. I think the general argument of players/agents right now is wrong. Trying to argue that owners should pony up and meet outlandish asking prices simply because revenues are increasing is a dreadful argument. The cba says youre wrong.
  12. Im the only person here with first hand knowledge. Everyone else is regurgitating news theyve read. They're very wrong.
  13. That sir, is the exact definition of a parroted talking point. If youre saying players are greedy this is a fact. Im aware this is a red state. It wont make me understand siding against labor. Ever.
  14. I think everyone disagreeing with me is misinformed and parroting talking points and opinions. I have stats that say youre wrong.

  16. No it clearly isnt 1. How many guys will reach that market 2. How many clubs will be in in those bids? 3. The luxury tax is not a cap and is negligable when compared to revenues. Its ready made cover. Its in cba so that part is life. It doesnt mean both scenarios are not occuring. 4. Player revenues have only dipped year to year 3 times ever. All 3 times collusion waa proven. 5. Clubs cannot directly influence other clubs. Its in the damn cba Players cant be instructed what to do either. 6. You guys are buying the argument teams are smart and all players are greedy and all agents failed to read the market. 7. The market changed because of what reason exactly 8. Only 1 100 mil contract was signed in 17. No one screamed collusion because everyone else got signed 9. It can both be a market correction and collusion. And not a vast one. It merely would take 2 clubs participating and with 12 clubs rebuilding and 8 avoiding the tax it leaves 10 teams give or take. Far easier to perpetuate wage suppression with less clubs involved. 10. Teams cannot compare offers w each other thanks to the 1990 collusion settlement. No information bank. 11. How are people against labor and pro billionaire class. It is mirroring politics and its maddening. Im not even screaming im literally laying out what I got
  17. So i have to believe all 30 teams got smart w analytics while at the same time every player got greedy and every single agent myself included misread the market (i didnt as i feared this ie JJ signed) No.
  18. I have a 15 minute audio clip for me on MLB network today explaining my thoughts on everything arguing with Jim Bowden
  19. I have not spoken to Carlos and sometime what a wonderful person he had to labor and surgeries and I wish him nothing but the best
