  1. Well didn't need that to start the ninth.
  2. Can of worms opened. Molitor was my favorite Brewer. The day he signed with TOR (I was still in elementary school) was truly one of the saddest days of my childhood. I guess that overall that meant I had a pretty good childhood, but still, the point remains.
  3. By the way, think it's odd that they haven't really shown a replay of RR saying whatever it was that got him tossed.
  4. So both manager's get tossed within a batter of each other. That's funny, not sure I have ever seen that before.
  5. Alright, that's better. Let's get some more runs and give Wily some wiggle room.
  6. With his triple in the 3rd this afternoon Braun is now alone in 7th place on the franchise's "Times on Base" leader list with 1,636 times. Next up is Prince with 1,640.
  7. I hope that these Toronto fans aren't booing and being impolite when Braun comes up.
  8. Well, it opened in 1989, a scant 6 months after the Bradley Center opened here in Milwaukee. Now, which would you have called state of the art at that point in time? Ha, good point. If I remember correctly, and keep in mind that I was only about six when it opened, I believe that the Jays were playing the Brewers (with Dave Stieb on the hill?) in the Skydome's first game. Seems to me that it was around August and the team played one day at Exhibition Stadium and the next night at the SkyDome. Now, I could be totally misremembering a fuzzy childhood memory, but without looking it up that's what I recall.
  9. I was there in '06 for the Brewers-Jays series. I would echo what others said about not needing to drive your car after you get to the city. I just took the subway around town or walked and it worked out just fine. As others said the Rogers Centre is now a bit outdated, but I personally liked it as well. It is weird that I can remember hearing it called "state of the art" as a kid when it opened up. In any event, have a great trip!
  10. I work overseas a lot and have been in other parts of the world during the World Cup. It is something that garners passion and I get that and it's cool. It is not my cup of tea though. My point originally was that Google advertises it every single day and it bugs me. I also did not see them doing that for the World Series fwiw.
  11. I just turned on the game really excited to watch some baseball this afternoon. Not a good start.
  12. I'm not a world cup fan, but now you know how non-packer fans feel... Oh, I get it and I'm a complete curmudgeon. I hate the NFL period. Baseball is number one for me, college football is probably two and the NFL ranks something far, far distant.
  13. The constant World Cup references on Google's homepage bugs me. I know I am predisposed to not like soccer, but you do not have to ram it down everyone's throat on a daily basis. I get it's seen as hip and the world's game, but stop. The tournament is weeks long and it is getting old.
  14. Thank you for the memories Irving.
  15. I really have enjoyed schroeder mocking zimmerman's arm in left about eight different times this game.
  16. I kind of want to see what happens if we have to go another four innings.
