  1. sec 230 row 9..... great w tonight
  2. just maybe if the brewers are in it and still fighting for first on one cold breezy late September day and his knee feels fine he will have that imfamous 'itch' to go out there and pitch and add some extra fuel to the fire for brewer playoff baseball...
  3. I kinda wanna know why ESPN can't ever say 1 thing nice about the CC trade to Milwaukee.... maybe just once. They try but then its well CC will go back to the way he started the season BS... Lets just win it and shove it in their face.
  4. his numbers may be worse, but he has a track record of being pretty good. I started school at Ohio State and watched a lotta Indians games (as many know because of AJ Hawk school goes till mid June, so I seriously got a lot of Indians games), and he always impressed me. I don't know who would go be moved where, but to have his arm available I think might be an addition that goes unseen. Mota hasn't been too impressive (until today) Gagne hasn't been great (until recently) but his arm would help in the 5 6 7 innings when starters can't get there or if someone else worked too many days in a row.
  5. if we can.... i would love to squeeze betancourt outta this too...
  6. They can have Zach Jack.... if he finds his stuff then Cleve did well. I then would like that his name wouldn't be a possibility to replace Sheets/Sabathia next year.
  7. could you say when we will know who the prospect and ptbnl are?
  8. http://cleveland.indians.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20080706&content_id=3080671&vkey=news_cle&fext=.jsp&c_id=cle posted ehhh 10 min ago... hold our horses i guess.
  9. you can't trade fredrickson and odorizzi yet. i think the rule is they have to be around a year first. can someone back me up on this one?
  10. Bentancourt would replace villanueva better IMO and Bush/McClung whoever gets bumped for CC would take Carlos' role. I had a feeling someone else would come with CC (either Bentancourt or Perez) if we threw in a 3rd or 4th prospect. I don't think Guti would be in it, especially from a guy who works in the fanzone at the Jake. But, I wouldn't doubt Doug is also trying to get a relief arm too.
  11. http://milwaukee.brewers.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20080611&content_id=2892782&vkey=news_mil&fext=.jsp&c_id=mil I think this might have answered my idea.
  12. say he goes on the DL.... who comes up... Gamel? They thought about him for a DH spot, so why not now? Like said Counsell will play. Hall will play. So, youre looking for a PH and a guy to play once every other week. Why not give him a shot? I don't know. I guess no other IF "deserves" it. I think its worth a shot to see what he can do. If it fails send him back. Sure it costs a few extra bucks and starts his arby clock early, but if he turns out great its worth it.
  13. One thing I did notice about Cameron's route to the ball.... granted I don't have the replay in front of me to totally confirm what I'm about to say, but from what I saw Cameron came in for the ball, ever so slightly. I played OF in HS and the first rule of a ball hit directly at you, take 1, 2, 3 steps back so something like that doesn't happen. Its easier to come in on a ball than race back. Plus, if the ball lands in front of you its a single, not a triple/inside the park homerun. If he goes back maybe he makes a really good catch, but i'm not gonna come close to saying he should have caught it. Just needs to take a different route.... but Ned is getting on my nerves for sticking up for every Fing player/play. I wish he could light a fire under his team like Ozzie Guillen does. But if Ned were to rant now, people would just laugh at him.
  14. Man I woulda paid a million bucks to talk to Brett. Ok, not really, but still. He seems like a real cool guy. Great interview! Thanks! I'm going to Omaha next weekend->week for the CWS. I'm praying ASU will be there and maybe snag a convo and autograph from Wallace. They have Fresno State in the Super Regional, so it shouldn't be too difficult, but take nothing for granted. Wallace will be a good fit in StL as much as I hate to give StL credit. Davis will eventually replace Delgado for NYM (or at least given a shot to) and Petey will do well in Oakland with Weeks. How sweet would it be to see a Miami ASU CWS Final knowing those two will be on the same team as early as a few weeks from now and have to beat each other for the championship.
  15. I want Brett Wallace really bad. Granted I'm a little bias being a HUGE ASU fan, but I've watched this kid for 4 years and he is really really good. Might not look like the best athlete nor is the quickest, but he will surprise a lot of people with how good of a hitter he is. I would compare his bat to braunesque (not so much as much power, but rakes) and his speed of someone like JJ, but a better baserunner. I like Ike Davis a lot and I know a few people who know him and say he is a great guy, but I can't see him in the Brewers plans. Later on down the line I'd like to see the Crew take Petey Parramore. Guy can hit and catch. Granted thats all bias from an ASU fan, but i watch these guys a lot and know what they are made of.
  16. Kapler gets the bat on the ball also... at least now he is. I don't have the numbers in front of me, but *right now* I'd rather have a guy put the ball in play than K. Cameron and Kapler might each go 1-4 or 2-5 in a particular game.... Cameron will have 2 K's and a popup and Kapler will have 3 flyouts. I'll take the flyouts. Not that I'm arguing Kapler should start full time or anything, but once more a week would be nice. Plus, if a guy goes 4/5... i don't care who you are... why not give him at least one more shot tomorrow to see if he can continue it. And he isn't a dropoff at CF, he just isn't as good. Call it a dropoff if you like, but that sounds dramatic. A dropoff is Cameron too Hall. What would be so bad if Cameron got 2 days off instead of one. Plus, he can all PH and replace Kapler if needed. Its worth a shot when he had such a good game today.
  17. I bet Cirillo is rolling his eyes right now. He could be the Brewers right handed 3B and WANT to be in Milwaukee. I know its not going to happen but what if the Brewers traded Hall and threw in Dillion for say a good SP.... and signed Cirillo to be the platoon/starting 3B. I think it would be one of the happiest days of my life.... ok not really, but I'd be really happy.
  18. Was it just me or did the HR he just hit seem like it was gonna go 15 miles.... but didn't get far up the bleachers at all? I think a lot of his power is gone, but his muscle isn't. I don't know if I'm drawing too fine of a line here, but there is no doubt he can 'muscle' a ball out of a ballpark, but his natural power is gone. Mechanics, diet, whatever, something is gone. I wonder if even just a little meat would help get that something back. Even if its not a lot, enough to get some extra power back in the big bat.
  19. I got there at 10pm last year and was in the top 75ish people in line and still got great opening day tickets. This year I have a 9/10 pack and dont need opening day, but i'll still be there. Always a good time.
  20. I'm gonna have to agree with most of you on StL. There really isn't anything to do in the stadium. I just thought there was a lot of empty space where there could have been more food stands or entertainment junk (like we have the music on the move corner). Outside is fun, but the stadium itself I think is below average... especially since its so new. I really liked the Jake and AT&T Park (I went when it was Pac Bell Park). But I do have to say Oakland has some of the better fans in the MLB. Not the best, but pretty good.
  21. they had 2 3B play tonight...and neither was Braun... its a possibility he could be sick i guess.
  22. I'd never give up Yovani... not even for Crawford.... never in a million years
