  1. Segura is our worst hitter and should be 8th until he shows otherwise
  2. Braun is not 100%. I don't know if he ever will be. It's depressing. He can look really bad at times and hasn't looked himself for awhile now. I also am depressed when I think about how we signed him to a second unnecessary extension. In happier news, I can't believe this team is back in this game. They just don't quit and I love it!
  3. I agree completely. I love the guy, but I'm okay with letting him go after this deal. Also, his violent/jerky swing makes me worry about back problems as he ages.
  4. So... I'm kinda glad the Brewers didn't extend Segura at this point. I love him as a shortstop, but thus far this season he has swung at way too many balls and therefore doesn't walk much - and the bit of power he showed early last year is non-existent thus far. Some would say "small sample" but as most of us know, he hasn't been very good since mid-year last year. He's not catching much flack because he's a great shortstop, most shortstops don't hit at all, and mostly because the team is still winning. Currently at an OPS of .603. Offensively, he isn't showing that he's worthy of a big long-term deal.
  5. Yeah, I'm about to live right next to Miller Park - but until now I just want to be home by 10ish so I can unwind before work the next day. I would love a 6:15 or 6:30 start.
  6. Between him and Davey Nelson, I don't know who is worse. Nelson is worse. Nelson just fumbles over his own words constantly. The guy can't even make a sentence and he has a job as a broadcaster. It's incredible. Sophia isn't good either, but she's new. What's Nelson's excuse?
  7. I voted to support Luc. I have never voted before because the whole "25 votes per email" thing is just plain stupid.... but I did it anyway. Gotta get Lucroy in there, he really deserves it.
  8. It doesn't sound like it, but if you're interested in any bobbles in trade, I would be interested. Maybe a bobblehead/cash mix? I dunno. I would like one but not enough to drop $75 on it, so let me know if you collect bobbles too.
  9. He's been outstanding. I wasn't a big fan of the acquisition, but I have completely changed my tune. It seems like he's a great clubhouse presence/mentor to the younger guys as well as producing on the field.
  10. Since April 20th, Thornburg has walked at least one batter in 14 of the 16 appearances he's had. Is that why Roenicke has only been using him in unimportant spots? It's odd... for the past month every time I thought they'd use him they used Kintzler instead.
  11. I was at the game tonight and it was sparse but fun. I often think Roenicke is going to put in Thornburg in situations, and then he puts in Kintzler instead. I wonder why that is. Kintzler hasn't been all that good since he came back from the DL.
  12. He looks much better at the plate and has been pretty solid for over a week now. Great to see.
  13. http://www.thescore.com/news/507931 Man, this guy is the best. I have watched that interview at the bottom of the page three times and it just keeps making me laugh.
  14. Mark Reynolds' biggest fan right here. I don't think his stat line shows it, but he's contributed so much more than anyone could've expected, in my opinion. Really glad to have him.
  15. Khrush Davis is groovin'. Finally. Great to see. If we could just get a healthy Ramirez and Braun at the same time, we could really string some winnin' together.
  16. I also want to know why nobody seems to care about the obvious substance on Kimbrel's hat bill.
  17. Man, I was pretty hesitant when we signed Lohse, but he has contributed so much to this team on the field - and it seems like off the field as well. Love that guy. It doesn't seem like Braun is healthy based on his lackluster PA's since coming back from the DL.
  18. Yeah! I just watched 6 episodes of this over the weekend. Love it. Mike Judge of Beavis & Butth-head/King of the Hill fame - it's his new show on HBO.
  19. I'm pretty sure Greinke said he decided to allow the trade because they had just gotten Marcum. So maybe I should've said "we don't make the playoffs without Marcum & Greinke" and I feel like that's pretty hard to argue.
  20. If I recall, you couldn't count on any of our starters during the 2011 post-season, which is why we were knocked out. Marcum might've been the worst of them, but he wasn't the only starter that didn't show up for the playoffs that year. There was a portion early in that season where Marcum was our rock and stopper. We don't make the playoffs without him.
  21. Brett Lawrie has had 20 good games before, but he has never kept it going for one reason or another. I wouldn't say he's "put it together" until he's had at least a season+ of production and health. And I - like most other Brewer fans - would do that Marcum trade over and over again, because it let us enjoy 2011. There's no way we win the division without Greinke and Marcum.
