  1. Melvin seems to cost Mark A. quite a bit of cash on some total blow outs. Eric Gagne. Bill Hall. Resigning of Corey Hart at an inflated price. There are more of course and that. No pitching prospects to be seen. The joke of how the coaching staff is run. Fire one dude way, way too late in the season, keep his staff around, then instead of bringing in a new manager with his own staff choices, tell him who he gets. Starting the last two seasons with no third baseman in mind. Building a team with a massive strikeout rate and lots of power, but no OBP guys to be driven in when the power works and that. The Sabathia move was good, but netted us nothing for the future. Not his fault entirely, but it happened and that. How many worthless players has he brought into this organization anyhow? No pitching. Doug Melvin is kinda like Ned Yost. Good to build you to a level of success, but not able to continue to the next step. Time for Melvin to go. Perhaps he and Yost could join efforts in Pittsburgh.
  2. I was hoping we'd be ok and have a fine month of August to put us back in it. That has not happened. Our pitching is a disaster. As of this post, we are 9.5 games out with no signs of catching fire and St.Louis just keeps going. There is absolutely no way this team goes to the playoffs this year. I've totally given that hope up at this point. I'm just hoping we can somehow manage to finish 3-4 games over .500 but that seems tough to do right now as well. Sign me up for the "Done Club".
  3. I liked Billy. But enough is enough. A year and change of pathetic hitting is what did him in. I got sick of his whining about playing time as well. Goodbye and good luck. No matter -who- comes up to replace Hall can not do any worse. It is time for the French Revolution to begin.
  4. Please by all accounts, keep the comments coming. I'd really appreciate finding out how you guys like this.
  5. I'm diggin' it. I like the guy. Plus, he helps out the bullpen. He's not going to set the world on fire, but he's an able body and not a total hose job.
  6. You as a Brewerfan member know who our founder is. July 19th is the opportunity for everyone to know it. During the WSSP 1250 am pregame show at 11:40 in the morning Brian is going to share his thoughts with the radio world. Rumor has it that radios as far away as Wauwatosa or even Greenland will be tuned in to hear his analysis. Brian will report on this site, the Brewers major league team, and the farm system. I have it on good authority that several National League scouts are going to listen in. WSSP has been a long time supporter of this site and the opportunities they give us are quite appreciated. Let's show our appreciation by tuning in and listening. Use your radios, or your computers to accept -the- Brian into your homes, your cars, your minds, your burnt out ram shackle of a garage, or your hearts. Steve "Sparky" Fifer has given us a shot to look good, so let's be active! Tune in and be part of an historic pregame show that thrusts the Crew into a 10 game winning streak and a lone standing in first place. Be a part of greatness! Be a part of.. .. . well, be a part of a darn good show and hope Brian does his usual good job. Lucky for you guys and the site as a whole I'm not a part of this. I would likely be a hung-over, bloody eyed, shell of a man that just woke up in the back yard with an empty King Can in my left hand, a wagon wheel in the other, and a goat tied to my tree. It would not be pretty. Tune in to hear Sparky and Brian talk ball. Tune in and see if the world's problems become suddenly solved after talk of one magical Alcides Escobar. Tune in. Tune in to WSSPi
  7. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Tied Cruz ok, one more dude! 6 outs 7 outs c'mon GONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. This evening has reaffirmed in my mind the fact that Joe Morgan is a nimrod.
  9. I took the shirt to Mexico and traded it for tequilla and firecrackers. OR It's in my car. I gotta get it signed which should happen shortly.
  10. Did you guys win? I unfortunately have broken my toe. Can't tell yet if I can play next week.
  11. Out again. Gotta be in a parade with Rachel. Hopefully next week I'll be able to play again.
  12. out. Goin' to Summerfest.
  13. Our daughter did an excellent job at school, so Rachel got 4 tickets to the game! We have seats 439-10-13:16 stop and say hi!
  14. I'm going to hand off the game ball to Matt again. If you guys have issues please see Matt or Nick (Happy). I can't play again this week: my heart is acting up a bit. I am supposed to try to eliminate stress: both mental and physical. I'm hoping to be back this season sometime soon, but I gotta play it by ear.
  15. Jake Mentch, the Brewers ticket rep who is coordinating the Brewerfan ticket discounts, is looking for feedback (positive or negative) from those who have used the offer and those who have considered doing so. If you've purchased tickets through the Brewerfan offer, what did you like about it? What (if anything) would you like to see done differently? Was it easy to use? Do you like the game selection? Are the available games updated in a timely enough manner? If you thought about using the Brewerfan offer, but didn't, why did you decide to pass? Please leave your comments here so the information can be forwarded to the Brewers. Thanks Guys!
  16. Game is still on. I just called the field for conditions, and we are a go.
  17. 1st game of the year for me. Sect 126 row 6 not a clue which seats I have. I'll be in a David Weathers Jersey. (Untucked)
  18. Free air day sucked by the way. It was chilly, blowing out, and was horrid for us. No more of that promotion.
  19. I agree with razzor. Let's not forget how much that sucked. I do -not- want to go through that again.
  20. I'm hoping to get some free air autographed. I'm leaving shortly.
  21. I kinda like "Pat". it makes not sense at all, means nothing. I'm gonna call him Pat.
  22. I realize that I'm not a big fan of the "Quality Start", but this is definitely one of them.
  23. That one "Gamel" person is supposed to be a defensive liability? Apparently, nobody has told him that because that was a heck of a play.
