  1. I just burped -really- loud. The neighbor's dog whom we are watching for the weekend, looked at me like I was nuts.
  2. I should have posted this sooner but I just got home a bit ago. Anyhow, with yet another Brewers loss under our belts, and terrible offense and lack of defense, and poor pitching, and Ned Yost, I could use a beer and a few shoulders to cry on. If you'd like to be a part of my support system or offer psychological guidance, stop in at Kip's on Hwy 100 this evening and watch the Badgers romp someone on a big screen TV. If you don't know who I am, I'll be the one crying my eyes out. 837 S. 108th Street. West Allis
  3. I'm 37 years old and I've never eaten a big mac. Honest.
  4. Tell that kid many people over here thought that video was excellent. Very good job, nice use of the photos to land at specific spots of the song.
  5. I must admit Gagne's impressing me. Two pitches. 1 home run, 1 double. At least he's throwing strikes?
  6. Hey Jet15- Does that cat of yours have any beer left? (your avatar) I could really use one right now.
  7. yeah, Google Won't Save You is a nice plaque to hang on the mantle. I've yet to win. How I envy you. Good job on the article by the way.
  8. WMLW ADDS SEPTEMBER 10 GAME TOBREWERS TELEVISION SCHEDULE Additional Telecast Replaces Game Switched to National FOX Television Schedule MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee Brewers today announced that WMLW-TV will televise the Milwaukee Brewers versus Cincinnati Reds game on Wednesday, September 10 at 1:00 p.m. The additional telecast replaces the previously scheduled September 20 game against the Cincinnati Reds that was picked up by FOX for the national television schedule.
  9. Is it at all possible to change Weeks' jersey number to E-4? This game is highly discouraging.
  10. Tossing out a feeler gauge here. I'm interested in knowing what you guys think of each station's post game coverage. I'd like to hear what you like/dislike and any ideas you'd like to see implemented. Call out names if you want to for accolades, or dislikes. Speak of local Milwaukee radio stations or non-Milwaukee area post game coverage. I'm looking forward to reading what you have to say.
  11. Fasten Your Seatbelts…. By Jordan "Trainwreck" Klimeck Of Sportsradio 1250 WSSP Well what can be said about the Brewers that can't be said already? Everyone in Brewer nation is aware of how excellent the team has become at finding a way to miss the playoffs. Earlier this year, I even saw an article on another website with a breakdown of what caused the Crew to miss the postseason each and every year since 1982. The team has become so good at never having a taste of the postseason that I have even used their lack of success to my advantage. The typical pick up line goes something like this … "of course I'm a loyal guy…. I'm a Brewer fan. I mean let's be honest here, haven't I had the opportunity to explore greener pastures over the years?" Usually when the ladies hear that, they just melt knowing they can trust me not to cheat on them. Well, ok, not really… after all I am the trainwreck but enough about me… The point is, we ALL are well aware of the Brewers' consistent track record of disappointing. The question I am going to attempt to answer is… can they FINALLY get over the hump? Let's look at the stats for a second. I am writing this on the evening of September 3rd, in the thick of late-season pressure cooker territory. With the just completed loss to the Mets, the Brewers are now five games behind the Cubs in the NL Central. The Phillies are now just four games behind the Brewers in the Wild Card and the Cardinals and Astros aren't exactly laying down and dying. The Astros have won nine out of their last 11 and the Cardinals are still just a "nice run" away from making things very interesting. Meanwhile, the Brewers have now LOST 16 of their last 27 at home, and they have 13 home games remaining. Their last 27 on the road? Glad you asked. They have WON 20 of 27. Coming up are CRUCIAL games against the Cubs and Phillies. Obviously every game is crucial as far as wins go, but there are some important chunks of home games left, and the Brewers haven't exactly been taking the world by storm while playing in Milwaukee lately. With seven home games left to play before traveling to Philadelphia, it is conceivable that the Crew may only hold a 1.5 game lead on the wild card when they roll into Pennsylvania. Can you imagine holding a 1.5 game lead over the wild card heading into a four game series against the team that trails you? It could happen. While the Cubs and Phillies games are do or die for the Crew, the wins should really start stacking up here at home against the Padres and the Reds. They have to get it done. I don't know which is worse, playing so bad for so long and not having a shot at the playoffs, or racking up a lot of wins and still somehow coming up short. My prediction: the Brewers make the playoffs but JUST BARELY and it will come down to the last two days of the season. I wouldn't have it any other way.
  12. Well, I went to the doctor today and -both- heels are in trouble. I have tears in both Achilles tendons. I was given a prescription to hopefully take down some of the inflammation and make walking a bit easier. I go to a specialist on Tuesday and will most likely start injections and physical therapy at that time. Unfortunately, I'm going to be quite limited as far as activity goes. I can't go back to the YMCA for leg workouts for a while, no basketball, no winter racquetball league, and will most likely be out of softball for the season. I am going to be limited at work for a bit as well. I can't even carry Rachel around like I'd normally do. One good thing this gets me is no lengthy shopping trips with the wife. I'll find out next week if there's any way I can play ball, but it is not looking good right now. While I'm writing this, my heels are both hot to the touch from inflammation and I have to keep them on ice. This is no fun at all. Is there anyone who can replace me on the roster?
  13. Looks as though I'm out this first game. I re-injured my ankles (mostly the left, right is sore as well). I went to the doctor and will be on crutches for a bit until swelling goes down and I can walk out without quite as much pain or discomfort. I'll keep you all posted as to what's going on after the next doctor visit.
  14. Jimmy crack corn and I don't care. Seriously. I really could not care less. He can crack all the corn he wants, I just don't care.
  15. If it were a winter thing, I'd play once in a while. Perhaps every other week or something? First and third Saturday nights of each month alternating houses or something? Just spit balling here folks...
  16. I've forgotten where practice is. I can't seem to find the address any place.
  17. I was supposed research something on the internet for my wife, stopped here first though. That was about two hours ago.
  18. Wile E. Coyote Maxwell Smart Red Green Sledge Hammer!
  19. Eat. Swim. Sleep. Good luck dude. Your gold totals are amazing.
  20. Anyone up for going to Kips on Hwy 100 to watch the game on the big screen tonight?
  21. Cookies Landscape/gardening what's in my closet home repair shows on the Disney Channel (thanks to my daughter) things that are too useless and dumb to say anywhere else thread.
  22. I drank two Mountain Dews today and it feels like my teeth are about to fall out.
  23. I don't really have a date preference at this point since I'll mostly be at the mercy of an odd work schedule anyway. Hopefully, which ever date you guys choose will work out for me.
  24. If anyone wants to go hangout at Kip's in Hwy. 100 in West Allis after the game, I will be there shortly after the game. I'm going thanks to Luke. Afterward, I think I may go hang out shoot a bit of pool or darts and have a beer. Not doing much? Join me! (after I watch CC and the Crew crush the Gnats)
