    Turnbow looked awfully good today. That first batter was a huge out: a long AB ending in a K. The walk was from a bogus call. I have not seen him look that good in quite some time.

    For our staff predictions, I went with Weeks to have a big season. I need him to turn it around or I will look foolish. Again.

    I looked at the list of guys he has joined. Smoltz is the 16th guy to do it. I can recall seeing 13 of the guys on that list pitch games.

    MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee Brewers will host a press conference at Miller Park on Monday, April 21 at 1 p.m. on the field near home plate for a special announcement involving Brewers pitcher Jeff Suppan and the USO of Wisconsin. At the event, Suppan along with The Milwaukee Brewers and Brewers Charities will announce a special partnership with the USO of Wisconsin to honor and host active military personnel and their families at Miller Park for every remaining 2008 regular season home game. The partnership is made possible through a financial contribution made by Suppan to Brewers Charities. Representing the USO of Wisconsin at Monday's press conference will be Gunnery Sgt. Jeffrey Semrow, US Marine Corps of the Milwaukee-based Fox Company, 2nd Battalion, 24th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division. SSG William Becker with the 257th Brigade Support Battalion, US Army National Guard of Kenosha will also be present at the press conference. Brewers Executive Vice President - Business Operations Rick Schlesinger will represent the Brewers.

    I wish I could be there, but I have to work late tonight and then get up pretty early tomorrow. I need to be a good boy and go straight home.

    Fair enough if you can't make it. I do however, need all attending the first practice to please bring player fees and ball fees.

    I don't know how my wife puts up with it, but I get the E.I. package every season. I'll go out of my way to listen to Vin Scully. Reading a book and listening to Scully in the back ground is great.

    A nice little hot streak and this question will be moot. It's a bit early to be asking about it. OF course we still want them around for an extended amount of time. Those two guys although in a rough patch right now can combine for an approach at 90 homers.

    I've gone to games alone. I actually enjoy it. I go to 3-4 games a year with the entire intent of being alone. I pack a sandwich and some chips, grab a soda, my walkman, and my score book then head out. I buy a cheap seat and just relax. It's very calming for me actually. Give it a whirl, and if you don't wanna sit alone, come over to Sec.421, row 11 or in that area. I usually have on a grey Weathers jersey. I'm there tonight.

    I don't know. I didn't have a rabbit problem last year. I put a bunch of hair clippings around the garden and sprinkle cayenne pepper around the fence line. They seem to stay away. Stay tuned for pics of the current progress.
