  1. June 17th Vs. Cleveland looks like the best date.
  2. Reminder to let me know if you won't be there. Bring bats! Think of some drills we could run!
  3. Apparently, the Cards like their Okra creamed. They are murdering the ball right now.
  4. Dear Geoff Jenkins: (a haiku for you) you can't play the D you could not catch a beach ball you just ticked me off signed, your glove
  5. Carlos Lee: first hit at Busch Bill hall: first homer. That dude in right field who snagged up on the ball: first vandal in busch stadium. Did you see that? he ripped the plant right out of the planter box! hehehe
  6. straw boss is evil replied: Bob Uecker's War of Stars That is correct. I need to make these tougher. send me your address via inbox and I'll ship your media guide.
  7. Bottom of the 9th! is up and running in the issues forum right now and goes untill the third inning has ended.
  8. First off, let me remind you that there is an away game gathering at Long Wong's on Bluemound Rd. this coming Friday for the game against the NY Mets 6:05. Make sure tp show up and bring friends. We will be giving away a BF.Net T shirt, and Paul Wong has offered up some tickets for a future Brewers game, and other prizes. And now, on with the show: For a 1988 Brewers Media Guide, answer me this- According to the 1988 Media Guide, Bob Uecker had been (at that time) hosting two syndicated television shows (excluding Mr.Belvedere) The first one was 'Bob Uecker's Wacky World of Sports'. name the second one. You have untill the 3rd inning has ended.
  9. Ohka is a battler. http://www.jacksonfreepress.com/images/uploads/l_okra.gif I've been thinking that while missing Carpenter the Brewers should go into this series looking not for one game, but two. St.Louis had a late game last night, they are down right now, and I honestly believe that we can win the series. With a new outlook and higher expectations, you have to believe that in a situation like this, we can win today and after the day off, win one of the following two games. This is going to be a nice road trip for the Brewers. The team has a shot to show they are for real; a fifteen consecutive games schedule that features on the road against St.L, NYM, and Houston (all considered contenders) will be a lot of fun to watch.
  10. Congrats Toby, that 37.5 is impressive. I'm still working on the prizes to complete the prize list. We had some autographed bats, but they were lost in the mail.
  11. It's all yours. Look for another Bottom of the 9th! on a game day. Probably Monday @ St.Louis.
  12. the '83 magazine. Unless if you want to trade it for a schedule magnet, I'll do that for you.
  13. Gorman Thomas DING DING DING!!! We have a winner!!!! send my your address via inbox.
  14. I think Bottom of the 9th! is running right now....
  15. Running now through the end of first inning
  16. Here's your starting lineups: for those of you keeping score at home. Arizona Milwaukee ------- --------- Pos Player HR RBI AVG. Pos Player HR RBI AVG. --- ------ -- --- ---- --- ------ -- --- ---- SS Counsell, Craig 0 0 .333 CF Clark, Brady 0 0 .188 CF Byrnes, Eric 0 0 .333 SS Hardy, JJ 2 3 .267 LF Gonzalez, Luis 1 3 .313 RF Jenkins, Geoff 0 0 .375 1B Jackson, Conor 0 3 .444 LF Lee, Carlos 2 3 .455 RF Green, Shawn 0 1 .167 3B Koskie, Corey 0 0 .400 3B Easley, Damion 0 1 .250 2B Weeks, Rickie 0 1 .385 2B Hudson, Orlando 0 0 .167 1B Fielder, Prince 0 1 .143 C Snyder, Chris 1 5 .500 C Moeller, Chad 0 0 .000 P Webb, Brandon (0-0, 1.29) P Davis, Doug (0-0, 3.00)
  17. The Brewers are 5-0 with the way things are. Why tinker with it? Hall has gotten a few PHAB's and Hart will see time. I'd have to say that if it were a 4-5 run game later in the game Hart would have seen time. Corey will get some playing time shortly.
  18. Watch for a Bottom of the 9th! contest again today. It wil be opened up during the game sometime. Same question untill it's properly answered. I'll post here when contest opens, I'll hit the chat room as well.
  19. Jamie, did you imagine anything like this when you signed on as PR mogul? No, I didn't. We've been talked about before, but not on such a grand scale. I'm just trying to figure out if that spot was slightly poking fun or not. I had never even though of espn as an avenue of approach. However you look at the mention, it's awfully cool. Imagine- one day Brian dicided to "start a small Brewers fan site" and now it's got it's own 1-2 times a week radio spot, Baseball America Mentions, Baseball Prospectus mentions, Jim Powell is a fan, the Journal Sentinel, and now a mention on a national sports news show. Pretty overwhelming if you think about it. Mostly deserving is all of you. The members make this site what it is, and what it may become.
  20. warhawk14 is your winner. Sent me the answer via inbox.
  21. temke donated some extra magnetic schedules to use as give aways. In celebration of this momentous event, the first person -without- a magnet schedule already to tell me who started this thread wins a schedule magnet.
  22. Yup. I tuned in. Sure enough, we get the mention. Wozers, this is getting scarry. Imagine the intimidation factor this will give the softball team!
  23. As flattering as it is for the site, this is already being tlked about on the Major Leagues Forum, so I'm closing this one in favor of the more established thread. No offense, just trying to keep things neat and tidy. Other Thread link
