  1. Bill Hall batting 2nd again?? OMG!!!!!!!
  2. Well the Brewers once again are NOT HITTING! Geez, this just plain sucks.
  3. Uh, this is the way the Brewers have been playing since they got to 80-56. The team is just not HITTING! Hit for stinking average and get some butts on the bases. Do any of these guys know how to hit singles and doubles and not try to hit it out of the park every stinking time? 4 HITS AGAIN! How do you win games with 4 HITS??!!! (Ok I know 2 hits last week and 4 hits on Sunday) I didn't see the game, so I missed Weeks making another boneheaded play. thank God! Bill Hall batting 2nd and in the playoffs to boot. Sigh is Ned still running this team? They go out there tomorrow and get no-hit for 5 innings again this series is over.
  4. My vent is that this thread only made it to 133 pages. :-)
  5. I AM FEELING GOOD! 26 YEARS! The wait is finally over! Oh man, what a RELIEF!
  6. Well one game down and the Cubs played all their starters except DeRosa who is hurting. And I know they'll have their best in there again today. In fact, I wouldn't want them to do otherwise. Let the Brewers win in the right way. OMG! One win and the Brewers are guaranteed a playoff game of some type for the first time in 26 years! (I must be dreaming)
  7. I agree, the Cubs will run their best out there all weekend. What Pinella did tonight was disgraceful. The fact they were up 6-3 and lost is admirable but to bench the majority of your offense in a game with playoff implications was disgraceful! Did I say DISGRACEFUL?! Let's all hope the Marlins take care of business and we take care of business this weekend.
  8. Ryan Braun is a GO GETTA! GRAND SALAMI for the win! OMG! This is 1992 but now we are even instead of trailing with 3 to play. GO BREWERS! (Being a Cub apologist ended when they lost tonight) GO BREWERS GO!
  9. Jake, oops, you meant righties, correct. Yeah, that was Yost being Yost. He did get them to 80-56 but since the start of Sept they are now 3-10. I mean what is he doing?
  10. Just out of curiosity, what local station in Milwaukee carried the game? I just checked all the usual suspects (1290,1340,1250) and nothing. Wow, even the media here is giving up on the Crew. :-(
  11. Sigh, didn't we watch this happen last year? But it's going to be worse since it's in September. Oh the agony. :-(
  12. Gagne's confidence is shot. And it's no help that the HOME fans don't make it any easier for him. He's had a terrible season. I think he realizes it and is trying to work through it. But when he is announced and has to make his way to the mound with almost the entire 40k+ crowd booing I can imagine he probably wishes he were somewhere else. I bet Turnbow felt the same way. Beat the dog while it's down. (shaking head)
  13. Hey please enter me into the drawing. Many thanks Pedro!
  14. Yep I noticed that vote tool was taking everything. Several times there were some questionable numbers I think I got wrong but it took the vote anyways. Well from 2:30 - 3:50pm I was able to vote well over 100 times for Hart and Longoria. The last 10 minutes I was lucky to get 10 votes because it was crawling bad. :-( Good luck to Corey!
  15. Oh man - why did you have to post that stinking picture??!!!! Now I got room to vent and I have already accepted this season as a lost cause. (82 wins notwithstanding) Please delete that pic!!!!!
  16. And to think had the Brewers not won another game I was going to ask one of the board mods to lock this thread symbolically. lol....
  17. Nice to see Jenkins and Hall in the lineup again. Looks like 2 automatic outs to me. grrrr.... But this is the stretch drive and they are being given an opportunity to CONTRIBUTE. Did you hear that Geoff and Billy?? Please close up that hole you are creating in the 6 & 7 spot of the lineup. Good grief tonight is a MUST WIN. (and go Reds)
  18. I don't think he threw one at all. The pitch speeds were consistently 92-96 mph for all of his pitches. I know for a fact, he throws the bender (slider) at 86-87 mph. AUGH! Why are the Brewers doing this to all of us??!!! To wait so long and to make us suffer more. Whew! That felt good to get out of my system. :-)
  19. Wow. a GOLDEN opportunity to move within a game of the Cubs with 4 games left to play, gone. :-( I suppose I really don't have a vent other than seeing a blown opportunity. But, Turnbow has developed a very disturbing trend. HE CAN'T THROW A SLIDER OR CURVEBALL any longer. I swear he threw nothing but fastballs tonight. When it was 1st and 2nd with 2 out he had the man 1-2. I am saying to myself as I was watching throw him a SLIDER! One of two things would have happened, he would have froze the guy looking or made him swing to save his life. Neither happened as he or the catcher (calling the pitch) decided to ask for another 94 mph fastball that missed by a mile. We all know what happened from there on out. Sigh.... Tough night for sure. The Crew just has to go out and beat the snot out of a no-name pitcher tomorrow night and pray the Fish get a Sweep. ugh.
  20. http://www.jsonline.com/graphics/badger/img/oct02/lee1005.jpg
  21. Hey, is Ted Thompson the Brewers GM? Nope, so I can hold out hope the Crew will go and find some good players for the 2008 season. Maybe a decent starter and a good leftfielder. At most it will raise the salaries paid to say, $80 million. This is WAY behind some of the bigger market teams.
  22. Good you all left me my vent intact. Can I ask if Ned is going to allow Bush to hit for himself than why bring a new pitcher in the next inning? Furthermore, why didn't Ned put a pinch-runner on 1st for Bush if HE WAS PLANNING on REPLACING Bush in the bottom half of the inning?!!!! Mel Stocker must have been looking over at Ned after Bush singled. Anyone except perhaps our 2 catchers would have scored on that gapper by Dillon. Too bad. Another stinker of a loss. And these types of losses are no longer acceptable at this time of the year. It's just a shame. :-( MATT WISE?????!!!!!!!!!!!!

  24. Umm.... When Jenkins came up to the plate(INEXCUSABLE) in the 7th inning the Reds had NO ONE up in the pen. So if Ned had pinch hit with a Righty the game was basically being given to the Brewers. But what does Ned do??? Stays with the lefty vs lefty matchup except it was our offense vs. their pitcher. And what in the end happened? Jenkins STRUCK OUT! Am I happy the Brewers won?? Yes! But am I happy we have an inept manager?? NO!!!!!!!! Sorry Ned, I supported you all the way until August. Never squeaked a peep in fact. But I am getting very tired of you trying ( and sometimes succeeding) to help your team lose. Geoff is overpaid and maybe you were being nice and thought hey, perhaps he's due vs. a lefty. grrrrrrr....... If you are going all out to win every game then use the proper batter when it's needed! Dillon, Rottino, and Mench were all there for you in that spot. Oh why do I bother caring??? A SUFFERING BREWER FAN SINCE 1992! P.S. I went to 34 games in 1992, the last time the Brewers played MEANINGFUL games in September.
