    Well I'm glad to hear that I didn't miss anything. Is it possible 9 pack holders won't get any playoff tickets at all?

    I haven't noticed anything in the mail, but I did move so I'm wondering if I missed something for playoff tickets to people with 9 packs. I have heard that the 20 game holders have gotten letters in the mail about them, but I haven't heard of any 9 pack holders that got any information yet. To my knowledge the 9 pack holders are supposed to get one game per round excluding the World Series. Any word on this?

    If CV could throw strikes on a consistant basis, that would be nice. It seems like he's always playing with fire, but his ability to strike batters out bails him out a lot. I also want to see what Dillard has in middle relief and if he does well, then I'd get him in that 8th inning spot. That's probably unlikely though.

    There was a great opportunity for it today in the 9th inning, but Yost decided to stay with Kendall. That's a bit disheartening knowing what we had sitting on the bench. Heck, why not give Salome an AB there. He's hot as heck right now.

    I'd rather play the Cubs at Wrigley anyways. It's not like we have any sort of advantage at Miller Park anyways when the Cubs come to town. At least there is less pressure at that pile of iron they call Wrigley.

    The Fact of the Matter is you have to be a Giant first to be a "Sleeping Giant". The Cards have the talent level of a last place team, but happen to be overachieving this season. Seth Everett from MLB.com had them at last place in his preseason predictions and those are usually based on talent. We didn't wake anything up. This was just bad pitching by Riske to good hitters in Pujols, Ludwick, and Lip Glaus. Pujols can say whatever he wants, but Adam Dunn will be mashing this team in September and the Cards remaining tough schedule will catch up to them. Time to focus on taking care of the NL East after the Pirates series. Pujols and the Cardinals are bigger hypocrites than politicians. Heck, maybe they are politicians.

    I just try to agree with the casual fan when we talk baseball even if I disagree inside. It saves a lot of trouble. Let people think what they want and just realize that it is good to have interest in our home team instead of the opposite.

    If somebody can prove that Ned Yost hates Russell Branyan, I'd like to see it. Sure, he's not playing him, but he might actually have been hurt! Branyan was consitantly used as our LH power bat off the bench so if Yost hated him that much he wouldn't have played him at all. I wouldn't mind going with Gamel to see what he's got, but I'd defninitely get Counsell in there after the 7th inning with a marginal lead.

    I sometimes question how Scott Boras can live with himself. He better enjoy his time here on earth because where I come from they say he's going to a very hot place.

    The Cards are getting away with murder here. If the Brewers pulled this crap, they'd have several players ejected by now.

    I'm far from a Ned basher. I'm a Ned supporter, and he had no reason to leave Shouse in there. Everyone makes mistakes and there was Yost's for the day.
