    Braun has an 8 year deal at a bargain basement price, while Prince doesn't and wants a deal that we can't afford.

    They don't have to make the move. It's as simple as that. If I were Melvin, I'd stand pat and look at giving up our other top prospects. He doesn't have to trade anyone. We are sitting 1.5 games out of the playoffs with the team we have. There is no desperation at the moment.

    First of all, I'd like to establish that I've been a proponent of trading Prince for about a month now and I have no problem with his production. Just because people want to trade him, doesn't mean he's under performing. The reason I want to trade him is because of the value he has and the pitching he can bring in while we can put formidable replacements at 1B in there for him in the process.

    Well I think the transaction rumors is most of the reason why the Brewers are the team to watch in the NL. If they make a deal for Sabathia, that puts them significantly higher than they are now. I am seriously going to cry if the Brewers make the playoffs. I won't be able to help it.

    So do we root for the Cubs or the Cardinals? I say root for the Cardinals because they are more beatable when we play them head to head.

    He'll get another couple shots as a starter for the Brewers and it could be as early as this year if McClung or Bush falters and we don't trade for a SP.

    I don't know how anyone can complain about Hardy's defense. The reason his fielding percentage is so high is because he makes every play he should. Sure, he doesn't make all of the spectacular plays, but he's well above average when it comes to defense among MLB Shortstops because of his arm. Remember, he threw a 93 mph fastball in high school. Those of you not happy with Hardy's defense are nit picking.

    Hardy and Prince are sure going to have some nice trade value in the offseason. Since our pitching needs a lot of help, they are going to be the chips we need to rebuild our rotation. Good stuff.

    If we only had to give up Green, Brantley, Cain, and Ford, then sign me up. None of those players are big time prospects.

    Hardy might just be hitting his way into a tier 2 Shortstop. This all depends on him not going on one of his usual slumps. Exciting stuff.

    It's kind of sad that since DiFelice has been in the minors since the beginning of time that we can't dig up any of these splits on him. This stuff is essential!
