  1. That's a fair point. There are surely some things that get overblown, but I think it's just too prevalent. Take that kid trying to ask his date out using the picking cotton phrase...why would you post that on social media? I would assume his life isn't going to be ruined by trying to make a joke, but I hope it's a lesson for that person. I suppose my rant is more on social media as opposed to the dumb things people say on it, and maybe it's because it seems like everyone posts anything and everything.
  2. I don't care that he said it. I was making the social media point and saying how dumb some of these people are. Why post that kind of stuff on social media? Or some of these people that post these videos of themselves saying some really asinine stuff. Then it's always the same...Sorry? Well, of course you're sorry because ya look foolish.
  3. Some tough D by the Cubs behind Hendricks tonight. Hopefully can get something going if they go to the pen.
  4. This strike zone is pathetic. Shocker. Hendricks gets rung up on a pitch that was so far outside. Awful
  5. Hendricks keeps getting the outside corner. Kind of tough to hit those.
  6. Some do, I have a brother in law who hires for a LARGE company. One of the first things he does is go to social media to see what kind of person is applying. A lot of resumes go straight to the garbage can based on what he has seen and read on candidates social media accounts. It's a thing, even if young people want to believe they are bullet proof. I assumed some did, I probably should have worded it differently. I am never surprised to find out such and such a person wrote ________ on twitter as a high school kid. I know when I applied for my job 9 years ago or whatever it was, I deleted my facebook account. Haven't looked back.
  7. People posting dumb things on twitter and then 'apologizing'. I am shocked colleges and employers don't look at this stuff before hiring/accepting these people.
  8. Of his downfalls, I think he's been pretty good with the bullpen the mast few weeks.
  9. He did have that run scoring “double” in the Marlins series. Double.
  10. Well put. He had an awful April last year too, but then ended up being a big time weapon.
  11. Really was awful.
  12. True but I don’t mind Thames taking the risk in that case. Throw was clearly going to third and, if safe, he eliminates the potential double play possibility. Disagree. I think it was silly to have a guy that clearly doesn't run well try to stretch that into another base.
  13. Why not just make it a rule and require it? Even if they do, it will probably be like most other rule changes and guys who are already in the league will be grandfathered in.
  14. The difference in ERA between the 2 is kind of funny. Their WHIP, k's and walks are pretty similar. Without diving deep into advanced stats it would appear that Davies is due for a nice little run, while Kennedy is due for some bad luck. Maybe? Hopefully!
  15. Obviously not great, but I think it's important to remember these are just tune-ups and he is probably(obviously) not game ready. Now, do I want to see him start over, say, Woodruff? No, but if he takes a start from Suter, well, it probably isn't the worst thing in the world. Are they tune-ups, though? I'd argue that he is pitching for his Brewers career. If he doesn't perform at least marginally well, I don't think there is any way they can put him in the rotation. It still feels weird to say, for for once, this tam is not lacking starting pitching depth. I would agree that he is pitching for his Brewers Career, but these rehab games are the definition of tune-ups(building arm strength, feel for pitches, etc.). Do I think they should put him in the rotation over other options? No.

  17. Wild pitch...single. Suter can be effective as a spot started. Not full time.
