  1. Same with me. Ive had my car for 7 years and only have 2 dings. 1 of them was from a parking garage in Madison. I live in a smaller town and people seem to be more aware here. Perhaps thats part of it?
  2. Clearly it's because Davies is an ace and has earned those calls...Maddux style
  3. I think he would've been out. Maldonado is really, really slow. Maybe, but I think you've got a better shot than the next guy reaching. If Bill is right and the only reason they didn't send him was because Braun was on deck, they should have sent him. Braun has been horrible in June. True, but in the last 7 games he's around a 900 ops.
  4. 3 unearned runs. Maybe the players should make some plays.
  5. What game are you playing? I try to find leagues that fit my play style or friends to make shooters more fun.
  6. I also always thought you were okay if you stayed on the bag.
  7. That one was mashed though. It hit something and landed just passed the fence.
  8. What an awful inning. 4 weak hits...and 1 of those should definitely been an out. Baseball. Funny game.
  9. Should have been an error on Hill. No need to go after it sith your bare hand...mental error imo.
  10. http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/we-might-already-have-the-seasons-worst-called-ball/ Terrible. I am amazed that there appears to be very little done when there are awful calls by umpires.
  11. According to ESPN...he was asking for his friends to help him and they thought he was joking. Divers found him just 15 feet from shore. Sad.
  12. I am not advocating steroids. I imagine there are plenty of other supplements that are banned that help players heal and stay healthy. PEDs does not specifically mean steroids.
  13. I am sure you are right. I for one couldn't care less about PED's and I personally think certain PED's should be allowed to be used. If I pay money to go to the game I would rather see a healthy Braun playing instead of Elian Herrera. I liken PED's to Tommy John surgery. Players can't take certain substances but are allowed to replace tendons from a different part of their body? That seems odd to me, but I know I am in the minority on that.
  14. Another missed out. That's probably 4 freebies this inning. Giving a major league team 7 outs in an inning is a bold strategy.
  15. Funny you mention Eibner. He just got called up. Anyone for Hill would be solid, but I'd prefer a younger piece.
  16. I wish/hope for that to be true, because I like Perez, but I am not sure what he has done to show he is pretty good. Although, I find it interesting you find Perez to be pretty good but dog Santana every chance you get. Care to elaborate on that?
  17. I'd rather see him get regular at bats instead of Flores who has a fly swatter bat. I'm with Danzig. Broxton is 26, looks like he could pass for 19, and hits like Michael Jordan. 15 K's in 23 AB's? Really?? If the Brewers had any kind of major league caliber OF talent other than Braun, there'd be at least a remote scenario where they could hang in a wild card race. That sort of ended when they dealt Davis and got no major league talent back. That was the plan so nobody should be surprised I suppose. I understand you really like Davis, but people continue to point out why he was dealt. Santana and Davis are probably pretty close to equal players(all things considered), but Davis is gone. Can we please move on from him?
  18. I actually just read something about this, and I'm pretty sure we are.
  19. You are right about that long list, but I'd rather have a guy up there who has been training his entire life to be there. Just my opinion.
  20. I think you might have missed the main point of the article if you still think that was the goal. I know you believe he is doing it the Atros way but I sure hope tanking for five years to get one magical sub 90 win wild card season before going back to sucksville again isn't the plan. I read the article but the team will need to be on the 25 year rebuilding plan if the main tool is adding Villar, Carter, and Junior which are the only Stearns added players who have done much. The team is worse than last year -on pace for 66 wins - and the farm system has under performed. Yes it's too early to give Stearns a grade but based off the non draft tools it sure isn't great. The team may be performing worse, but the goal wasn't to lose as many games as possible. That's basically what the article is saying. If you don't want to believe that, fine, but getting the number 1 pick doesn't guarantee success. Picking guys up off waivers and making trades does. That's exactly what Stearns did with the resources he had. Hit on a few, or miss on a few. He didn't go Major League and purposely build a crappy team.
