  1. Not mad at all. I saw a few replays and it looked poorly officiated. I was on a plane during the game so I only saw the major plays at the end.
  2. Maybe, but his arm getting raked right before he lost could have been the reason he lost it too.
  3. This may not help at all, but I have a friend who had two dogs that were buddies for about 6 years. When the older dog had to be put down it was clear as day that the other dog was having a hard time with it. Would not eat and was withdrawn from everything. Like I said...obvious that this other dog was grieving. Less than a month later the other dog died of a heart attack. I would think if you are having a hard time trying to figure out your other cat then it might not be a major concern at this point, but I'd still monitor the situation for a bit.
  4. ESPN's new bracket has Wisconsin as the 6...and I would LOVE to see them in this quadrant. http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/bracketology
  5. I enjoyed the 'ten tickles' joke. Gave a small chuckle, but I have heard it before and enjoyed it then too.
  6. Plush, is it possible that Stearns sees value in Braun and knows he is still a productive player at a 'reasonable' cost? In my eyes, Braun is still productive and thus has value. Also, has there actually been anything written or said by someone within or close to the organization that said they hoped to trade Braun? I havent seen anything besides talking heads saying they should look to unload him because they are rebuilding. Thanks.
  7. Good luck. I have charter and always tell myself I am going to leave them...and I never do. I truly hate talking with them.
  8. Maybe if the rules didn't favor large pockets this wouldn't be an issue.
  9. Lara signed last year. I know who he is. Sorry. I skimmed your post and didnt realize you said 5 or 6 years ago.
  10. Who was the SS the Brewers signed 5 or 6 years ago that everyone was excited about and then dropped off the face of the earth or maybe he didn't? Maybe it was Arcia but I don't think so. I just remember it being a big deal and then never hearing about it again. Lara. He is still young, but promising.
  11. http://deadspin.com/u-s-attorney-suggests-password-cardinals-used-to-acces-1754734603 The comments are pretty classic. 'There is no way the Astros IT guy would allow that much grit on the keyboard.'
  12. I disagree. Everything we do is preparing kids for the real world. I didn't have a part time job when I was in school. I played 3 sports and learned hard work and dedication that way. I also learned about success and failure and the consequence of not working hard or doing my job. I also learned how to withstand ridicule and overcome adversity. I didn't need a job to teach me those things. I also disagree about the crowd. The games ARE intended to be fun. It helps build a sense of togetherness and community through the school and city/town. Through support of school athletics and other teams/groups it helps build a sense of community. If you have that sense of community you are probably less likely to try to hurt or disrespect those within it.
  13. I think most people are taking issue with the examples that were included. If a kid airballs a shot...he/she knows it wasnt good. I am not sure a chant is going to make them feel any worse. To me, most of the chants aren't bad. Chanting, 'There's no net there.' isn't bad. Some of these kids are going to get creative and get around these rules anyways. 'Good try, season's done' is one that I have heard in the past.
  14. Apparently some high school girl sent a tweet to WIAA telling them to uh...eat poo. Her school has suspended her for 5 games. I guess they also asked/told her to remove the tweet. She told them something like, 'no, I have already been punished, so I am not taking it down.'
  15. Have you seen some of the moves the Dbacks have made in recent memory? Get in while the 'Gettins' good!
  16. I agree. When we traveled up to Hudson/New Richmond to play puck they would be outside tailgating chanting 'stinky beavers'. We just smiled and moved on. Sometimes I think we need to put more pressure on kids instead of holding their hands. When they get jobs are they not supposed to hear anything negative? I for one am a person who tends to rise up to negative comments and expectations, so this new ban chaps my backside a bit. I think it should be looked at what level is being played. If it is freshman or JV level I think any negative chants should be frowned upon...but if its the varsity level...well, suck it up. My 2 cents only.
  17. Maybe if they actually voted guys in that deserved to be in then it wouldn't be packed where there are more than 10 deserving(I am not saying there are more than 10, but some might feel that there is).
  18. Thankfully you are okay. My friends typically give me a hard time because I drive with A LOT of space between myself and other vehicles, but I have been lucky enough to never bump someone, so I suppose I can deal with a little ribbing.
  19. Reports said he had catastrophic organ failure. Sad to see someone so young go early.
  20. They just showed 3 or 4 other slides from the other playoff games which were as bad or worse...no penalties there though.
  21. Pretty sure I read this from you before...but, he didn't make contact on the 3rd base side or 2nd. Or, am I missing something?
  22. 93 to 94. Touched 96 a few times. Some were straight as an arrow and some had some sink.
