  1. Looked like it hit his fingers. Hopefully just a bruised fingertip or 2.
  2. Now we just need the defense to show up for once. /s
  3. Exactly what I said to my buddies. Shoulda been a big swipe there.
  4. His overall numbers are solid, but if you look at his game log he has pitched against some pretty crummy teams the last 2 months. He has faced the Pirates 3 of his last 4 games with the Brewer game being the other where he gave up nearly 2 runners per inning.
  5. Sample is too small to really tell. Topa's first MLB appearance he gave up 2 ER in 2 IP, in his next seven appearances after that he gave up 0 ER in 8.2 IP with 2 of those IP against the Dodgers in the postseason, in his last two appearances he gave up 7 ER in 1.2 IP. On the one hand he's given up 9 ER in 12.1 career IP, on the other hand 7 of his 10 appearances have been scoreless. I think he's good enough to be like the 9th/10th guy in a bullpen. The movement right now looks different than last year. That is my untrained eye opinion anyway. I am sure someone could look up the small sample, but I thought last year he had massive movement and it just doesn't seem like it has the same tail/drop right now. Again...using my eye only.
  6. [sarcasm]Too bad intermittent fasting has worked for you... [/sarcasm] No doubt! Plus I just had covid and lost about 13 pounds, so that 3xl really fits funny.
  7. My dad loves buying my Brewers gear for my birthday. He just bought me a sweet Yount t shirt. Size...3xl. I weigh 190 pounds currently. When I told him it was a sweet shirt but way to big...he said, just wash it in hot water.
  8. Yea, I saw that earlier and wondered what the other 2 games were. Weird ommision.
  9. My only issue with schedules is I wish they tried to balance them better. I realize that's a logistics nightmare, but it's annoying that one team might get the cubs 6 or 9 games after theyve mailed it in, but another plays them the first month + 10 times.
  10. Can we stop with the knee cap as being a proximate cause of Yelich's slump? It was a fracture of the knee cap. Nothing was shattered. He didn't even need surgical intervention or any serious medical treatment outside a knee immobilizer. More importantly, Yelich is 4th on the Brewers in sprint speed behind Garcia, Cain and Taylor. If his fractured knee cap was effecting him at the plate, you could bet that it would also impact his sprint speed. Not necessarily, buddy of mine played at Whitewater and one of his teammates had the same injury. Guy was never the same hitting. Still ran well though. Knees are a funny thing. I had a knee injury about 5 years ago and every now and then I can feel it when hitting a softball, but have no issues running and still move well. Obviously I am not an athletic specimen like Yelich, but I could see the knee being a prolonged issue.
  11. You mean that straight as an arrow fastball to Yelich wasnt the best pitch of the inning?
  12. Should have been a strikeout, but what is the deal with our shortstops being unable to throw the easy ones over.
  13. Thought I saw Cubs Angels for next year. Though the logos were small. The Cubs don't play the Angels next year. The schedule is out, the NL Central plays the AL East in interleague. Good point! I'm wondering what I saw then! Found it via twitter. Fan made one. Guessing what they were hoping to see. That's what I get for not looking and reading closer.
  14. Thought I saw Cubs Angels for next year. Though the logos were small.
  15. Wisdom reached on an infield single and advanced to second base on the throwing error by Peralta. He scored from second base on the ground rule double by Schwindel. Kinda. He scored from 3rd. He tagged on the fly the at bat before.
