  1. Everywhere. 'I'm going up to .......' I say this all the time no matter where I am. No idea how or why it started.
  2. I'm guessing he was hoping he wouldnt have to use him. Go back to Ashbys first inning. Strikeout, weak infield single, walk, and then a HBP that was awful, weak forceout, ground ball under the first baseman's glove that could have been made.
  3. Bingo. 0-2 count yet not high FB to chase or slider in the dirt? I mean. Omar wanted a high fastball. It just didnt go there. He clearly struggled to hit his spot. They wanted the last 2 pitches as high fastballs.
  4. Dodgers hit 9 balls over 100 mph last night. The last out was 107 mph that had an expected hit of 890 or something and would have been a homer half the time. 15 mph winds made it an out. Baseball is tough.
  5. They are dumb. The announcer just referred to that screaming liner as 60mph off the bat to describe it being hard hit. Does he not know how hard balls come off the bat? 60mph would be really dang slow. I think you misheard him. He mentioned 'That's baseball...liner caught, but Rileys 60 mph ball was a hit'. Something to that effect.
  6. Softest contact hits. Seems like a recurring theme this year.
  7. The Badgers tell you where you are playing...not the other way around.
  8. Speaking of commercials…I cannot stand the advertisement for Siri that is like, “Who leads the NFL in TDs this year?” *Insert awkward silence for 5 seconds with no answer to the question. Why don’t they just pick some record that Siri can then answer as part of the advertisement. Siri giving you silence with no answer doesn’t seem like a great advertisement of her abilities. True! I'm always thinking. Well, tell me the answer so I can see if I'm correct.
  9. Was at the game Saturday. Left in the middle of the 2nd. Mainly because my 1 year old isnt used to being up that late, but the quality of play was bad too.
  10. I had softball and badminton. Ha. I do think college should focus more on core classes, but I cant it wasnt nice to have an easy 2 or 3 credit course when I did 18 credits. For me, college was a great opportunity to grow myself and learn to be independent. I met people that were much different than myself and I quickly learned what was and wasnt acceptable to say and do around others. I dont think I necessarily became smarter, but I did learn a lot. If that makes sense? I get that, but is that due ti college itself or just leaving home? As I said earlier if you go to the military, tech school, or directly into the workforce you're just as likely to learn independence and meet others not like yourself. Probably moreso. Valid question for sure. I'm sure there isnt one correct answer. I will say, there was very little diversity in my town growing up and had I gone directly into the work force here I'm sure I would have views similar to many others with the small town mentality. I also think college forced me to make new friends a long with my current ones. Not sure how that would have gone had I just moved.

  12. Cheers, thanks!
  13. Anyone happen to know how early the lots will open up this weekend? Thanks.
  14. My 2.5 year old daughter asked me for hockey skates. Guess we are going to Pure Hockey before the Badger game Saturday.
  15. This team is so bad. No idea why I chickened out on Michigan plus 2.
  16. The offensive line is pathetic.
  17. No question he has regressed. Now he is so scared of making mistakes he is late on releases and he still ends up making bad decisions. It also seems like he 'floats' balls to the outside. If there is one thing I learned from my Madden days, if you float a ball to the outside it is probably going the other way(see ND 4th quarter).
  18. I realize Wisconsin is at home, but I still have no idea how they are 2 point faves again this weekend.
  19. In theory, I agree, however, I think that the majority of college students are there to either kill time before hitting the real world, or to get the piece of paper that says they did something with their life. In today's campus political climate, I doubt anyone is becoming well rounded, in fact, it feels like the opposite is happening. That was basically me. Though, I was surely not ready for the real world of 8 to 4 either. College helped me become more independent and helped me learn a lot about myself. To your second thought, it may feel that way, but that obviously doesnt make it true.
