  1. Mine shows the opposite. Started at 3.5 and is now at 5.
  2. Yes, the officiating sucked but if you can't make free throws you're gonna lose. That is where that game (and others) was lost. Yep. The Badgers let Indiana win that one. Frustrating.
  3. 2 of 8 from the line...missed lay ups. This has been a terrible game.
  4. Wearing my Bucky colored glasses...the officiating here has been bad.
  5. Not sure why Fox Sports Go wouldn't work as long as you have the log-in info.
  6. Yep. Awful weather. I tried to do the same for the drive.
  7. Nice. I was shocked to see the line at 3 as well.
  8. I'm on Marquette, Kentucky, and Purdue today. Marquette has been great with the single digit lines. They make so many free throws to end gsmes.
  9. I thought it was pretty cut and dry. I thought the standard was you needed .3 to touch and shoot? Given that it was .2, the only potential thing that would have not resulted in a shot clock violation was the jump ball going directly to the rim? Smart "touching" it wouldn't have stopped the shot clock violation or stopped the clock with any less time. Smart had to "possess it" and even then, couldn't possess it quick enough in .2 to do anything about letting more time run off the clock. I don't think I explained myself well. I didn't think the shot clock should have started when Giannis tipped it. Then I thought Lopez's tip would have been done under .2. Thus it shouldn't have been a violation, so then I was trying to drum up ideas that they could have done to burn more time. In fact, I would have whipped the ball as high into the air as I could with about 1 second on the clock. That would have killed enough time, right? Hard to say in looking back, but yea, I thought the Lopez tip should have been a play on.
  10. As someone who is not a huge basketball fan(but I have gotten into the Bucks lately), I was surprised to see the jump ball at the end lead to a turnover. I would have assumed that possession starts when the first guy touches it after the two guys jumping. In that case, Giannis should have let the ball come down and hope Smart touched it or something. It would have taken up a little bit more time at least.
  11. I agree. They played well. I especially appreciated that they decided to win by 10. why's that? so they covered the line? I think it was 6.5. True, but they could have won...by say, 6 and it would have been bad. Also, kind of sketchy, my buddy took Marquette as well, but his guy told him 9. It would have been interesting had Marquette won by 7, 8, or 9.
  12. Good call on the under and Wash St. I took both of those last night. Also took Cuse' and Marquette...but also Nevada. Oops.
  13. I agree. They played well. I especially appreciated that they decided to win by 10.
  14. JJ is his most prominent at the moment.
  15. I get what you're saying, but I enjoyed Glass. My wife and I thought the ending made sense and fit with the movies. What didn't you like about this particular ending? I will gladly admit I do enjoy crappy movies, so I am not saying it was good, but was enjoyable.
  16. Thon traded for Stanley Johnson. A former high pick. Hopefully he can show something in Milwaukee. Edit: now I see it says 'to' be traded
  17. I do like that idea Oxy. I prefer the strategy of the NL, but I hate that both leagues play by different rules... Add that the Brewers have had their fair share of odd pitcher injuries and I am ready for the DH.
  18. I see MLB is discussing a few new rules. This one caught my eye, since we've discussed this before. A three-batter minimum for pitchers Apparently the union wasn't opposed to it. This would surely take away some of the Brewers strategies from the past year(among other teams), but it seems like the Brewers already use their relievers for more than one batter anyways. Is 3 to many? Should it be 2? The pitcher you bring in could potentially walk the bases loaded. Yikes.
  19. MLB is the only sport that really cares. Baseball writers are the only ones that really care. And they get everyone riled up with their constant harping on it. I agree with this.
  20. MLB is the only sport that really cares.
  21. I think the thought is that when you read quickly you are able to better understand and comprehend. I usually tell parents to take it with a grain of salt.
  22. Yea, they played quite well. It will be interesting now that Nova seems to have found their groove. FWIW, espn has Marquette as a 3 currently.
  23. Technically both teams were on the road, as the game was at Madison Square Garden. Closer to Maryland that Champaign, IL, but not that close to Maryland - over 200 mile drive, not easy for loud students to get to. Would say it was more of a neutral site game. Gotcha. Didnt realize that. Used my app and it said Maryland at home. Regardless, it was a drubbing.
  24. I don’t think this is true at all. Depaul and St. John’s are the best they’ve been in years. Xavier is down quite a bit, but still a threat. Villanova has regrouped after losing all of the stars. Seton Hall, Butler, creighton, and Providence are always capable of winning on any given night. There is no bad team this year… No Penn State, Illinois, or Rutgers for comparison. The league is down a bit, due to attrition. However the reason the league doesn’t look impressive is there are no bottom feeders everyone is beating. So we should have four or five ranked teams next year as the teams gain maturity. Marquette is likely only losing Chartouny and Heldt. Illinois just beat Maryland on the road. Depaul beat Penn State at home by 2. Seton Hall beat Rutgers by 6 at home. So, if Penn State and Rutgers are bad(which I don't think they are great), where does that put Depaul and SH? I think you have to play well night in and night out in both conferences in order to win. I am not sure there are many gimmie wins.
  25. ESPNs latest had them at a 4 I think and Bucky as a 5.
