  1. I think it is obvious we overpaid in both transactions, however, that is the market, and DS thought he had to do what he did. You have to pay to play. Are we currently better for the 2018 season, yes. Will this trade make us better in 2020, we shall see.
  2. For me it's not underrating him as much as wondering if the difference between him and what we already had was worth trading 4 prospects for. I would have prefered not to have done this deal but not overly fussed about it either. One thing I do like about this is he is the type of hitter that we don't have a lot of. I'm a fan of having different types of hitters in the lineup and we were missing his type of hit tools. Completely 100% agree with you on this. Take away the aspects of the trade and I'm extremely happy that Yelich is a Brewer, he's the type of hitter I wish we had more of in the lineup. Trading 4 prospects for him is what I'm not extremely happy about. Fully agree with both of you, you stated it perfectly.
  3. I just spent the entire evening, the last 3 hours, flipping back and forth between the Major League Forum and Rumors/Transactions forum and had no lag time between posts. Constant outpouring of posts. That was fun... Let's see what tomorrow brings!
  4. Santana in CF? Oh boy, no way, no how, not even a consideration. Not now it isn't. Never was.
  5. I'd like to see Broxton go for some prospects. Braun in left, Yelich in center, Santana in right. Or Santana in center and Yelich in right. Phillips as 4th OF. Santana in CF? Oh boy, no way, no how, not even a consideration.
  6. He is probably conferring with RRR as we speak...
  7. You sound like you're on the same roller coaster I'm on. Initial reaction hate it. Calmed down a bit now, and by tomorrow who knows I'll probably love it. Yeah, I did hate it initially, and still do, but what's done is done, and it has to be accepted, we have no choice. Hopefully Yelich makes me forget right off the bat in April, and all will be well. I'll keep a close eye on the guys we lost though, just to see if I was right...
  8. I just really thought Brinson would be a center piece in a trade for pitching, not another outfielder...
  9. Ok, I admit, I get attached to the guys that come through Appleton. Harrison spent a long time here, Diaz was so awesome here, it is impossible not to feel a bit jilted when he goes. I have no connection to Brinson, but as often as he is hurt, I'd rather he be someone else's problem. Yamamoto was also a fun guy to watch, and was hoping he'd stick too. In the end, I'll get over it, and to be honest, I think the real loss is going to be Diaz, so it will be interesting 3 years from now to see where these 4 ended up. I wouldn't be surprised to see Yamamoto as a solid #3, Harrison and Brinson sharing 2/3 of the outfield, and Diaz being a rookie of the year type of player. They could all also tank, but again, highly doubt it. Admitting I get attached to these guys is the first step in acceptance when they go. lol
  10. Nice assessment - I agree. Seems fair Plus Diaz and Hiura can both only really play second. One of them had to go. How do we even know Hiura can play 2B? Diaz stings.
  11. So glad I'm not the only one who feels this way. We just gave away 2/3 of our OF and a possible all star 2B. Yes, not a given, but that's a lot of talent leaving us. Farm just took a major hit, hopefully Stearns has a plan to re-stock in a couple more deals. Just don't like it.
  12. Ok, that's it for me, I'm retreating to the corner to lick my wounds. DAMN DAMN DAMN DAMN DAMN DAMN! They have raided our cupboards, wonder which pitcher the stole from us? EDIT: Yamamoto
  13. Brinson, Diaz and who else, that is the question. Hiura better be the real deal, as we just traded our true future 2B.
  14. That can't be it, there will be more... oh man.
  15. yup, agreed, and add Diaz, Harrison to that list. My guess is all 3 of them are gone.
  16. So this makes you happy, even though you have no clue what we had to give up to get him? Oh boy, this is going to be an interesting night...
  17. I can't celebrate until I see who we gave up. I am worried, really worried.
  18. My wife "made" me go see Wonder with her last night, a movie that was not on my to-do list. I have to admit, it was great, entertaining all the way through. Tugs at your heart strings a bunch of times...
  19. Can you reserve seats on line with that pass, or is it only once you arrive at the theater?
  20. My guess will be IT II, but IT Returns is a solid guess...
  21. The new IT... Thought it was great! Had to go home and watch the original, and after seeing the new one, the original falls flat... I am not one who usually like remakes, but this one is worth seeing. Looking forward to part II!!
  22. Dazed and Confused is in my top 3 movies of all time, I just never tire of seeing it. Top 3: The Warriors - My favorite movie ever, bar none! To me, the best movie ever made! Fast Times at Ridgemont High - Never gets old Dazed and Confused
  23. Megan Leavy was a good flick... I was surprised how much I liked it.
