  1. Must you always ruin everyone's hopes and dreams?
  2. My fear is there are those who think when Urias returns, our offense will magically start being good, or at least average. We sure can use him, that is obvious, but he probably isn't going to be an "offense turner arounder" like some are hoping...
  3. It won't be a match for the Dodgers or Cardinals either. All this talk early on about the Brewers a lock to win the division is just talk. If our offense doesn't improve by magic, or adding some bats, all we can really hope for is a wild card and a first round exit from the playoffs.
  4. If you mean Vizzy, I'm with you. That commercial is on at least 10 times per game, and I am not exaggerating. It's just ridiculous.
  5. lol I was there too! A bit chilly to say the least.
  6. I have not been checking into this site much due to the ads. My fear is that a lot of other posters are the same way, and this site could die a slow and painful death.
  7. Let's just hope he goes on a tear the next couple of weeks and starts feeling it again!
  8. Yes for sure, that was just a beautiful swing and moment. No one is probably happier than Yelich himself! I hope this does something for his confidence going forward! Might this be the catalyst for the rest of the season?
  9. The offense was good enough to make the playoffs, but we saw what that offense was good enough for when it really mattered...NOTHING! No one is basing their opinion about the offense based on 10 games, it is being based on 172 games, plus a stinky horrible playoff series. What has changed offensively from 162 games last year to have anyone think we are going to magically become an above average offense? This offense is not good enough to carry us deep into a playoff run, most know that.
  10. I sometimes think that a lot of fans are just happy to get to the playoffs. I felt that way when we started winning again, and made the playoffs for the first time in decades. That time has passed. Getting there is no longer enough.
  11. Just started Lisey's Story by Stephen King. I've had it on the shelf for years, thought it was about time I get to it.
  12. I doubt you'd be a catcher for long with that kind of attitude...lol
  13. 1st and 3rd, no outs. the only run scored was on a wild pitch? Seriously? 3 whiffs. Without that wild pitch, we score nada, zero, zilch runs. geez.
  14. Of course it is a collective effort of suckiness. That we can agree on, but saying that Yelich is only responsible for 1/9 of our offense is a bit naïve. This guy was an MVP 3 seasons ago. He is the reason we can't sign any other big bats. It isn't a stretch to expect better from him, especially better than the 4th best hitter on a poor hitting team. Am I blaming him and him alone for our offensive problems? No, but he is a big part of the problem for sure.
  15. When it comes to Yelich, you have to look at what he is paid. He is strapping the entire payroll from going out and getting an impact bat. Because he is getting paid that kind of money, there are high expectations, it's the nature of the beast. Get paid the most, production should be the most. He is not living up to his end of the deal, and the entire offense is suffering because of it.
  16. Nothing, but admitting there is a problem when we all know it makes a lot more sense than falling back on things like that just to prove a nonexistent point. I understand that there are people who will argue just to argue, that has always been the case here, but really, we have enough experience with average and below average offenses to know they don't get you far in the playoffs.
  17. This argument makes zero sense, none, yet it seems to be accepted here. As we saw last year, an average offense will not get you far. We have almost the same offense as last year, we saw what happens with that offense in the playoffs, yet some are just willing to accept it.
  18. It doesn't take much to be our 4th best hitter, in fact, saying he is OUR 4th best hitter doesn't do much for your case. Yelich should and does shoulder a lot of blame when it comes to our offense because he is paid to be our best hitter, not the 4th best hitter on a crappy hitting team. He is the sole reason (well, Cain as well) that we can't afford to go out and buy another hitter. He is taking up a huge % of our payroll, so the reason he is being talked about is completely warranted imo.
  19. I think that is pretty much a given at this point. I would expect we trade Burnes, Woodruff, and Hader in their contract years.
  20. Who had Yelich grounding weakly to 2B with bases loaded? Most of us?
  21. Getting sick and tired of Cain not hustling down to 1B... Can't wait to get this guy off the books.
