  1. Milwaukee won't be on the top of his list, I think he will have a few teams check in with him. Imagine that rotation though...
  2. In the end, it won't surprise me in the least if we are unable to extend any of the 3. If that is the case, and the organization knows this now, maybe it's time to trade Burnes and Adames now, and Woody after next season. Burnes value may never be higher, he is the one I would look to trade immediately to maximize value. Once Correa is all straightened out, and we know where he is going, I'd be making calls to the teams that were not able to get their high priced SS this off season.
  3. Yes, it is a possibility, right? Not the owners, but the GMs. I'm assuming most owners have a long range plan in place for owning the teams, I'm talking about the GMs who know they probably won't be around as long as it takes for these horrible contracts to expire. I mean, they all want to win now, and the majority will not be around when those contracts get bad, so why not rob Peter to pay Paul 10 years from now?
  4. I think they end up signing a couple bottom of the barrel bullpen arms to see if we can get lightning to strike. Who those arms are, no clue.
  5. Mancini is a hard pass for me, unless he comes mega cheap. He wasn't much of a factor last year, so taking a chance on a rebound season dirt cheap would be fine, but does he give us anything Rowdy doesn't?
  6. So we are no longer allowed to discuss a player due to the fact that some couldn't contain their emotions about said player? Seems a bit controlling for a message board.
  7. 100% agree. If we are still in a playoff hunt at this year's deadline, no way they trade one of the big 3. If it is going to happen this season, it will between now and opening day. I will give them the benefit of the doubt and say they learned a lesson from trading Hader when they did. IMO
  8. I understand you are really high on Winker, but I think your fandom might be tainting your views a bit. The guy was horrendous last year, and has had major surgery in the off season. I truly hope he is all that you think he will be, but I don't think we can anoint him our savior just yet.
  9. Yeah, Winker is no guarantee, not sure why anyone is willing to die on that hill. I'm hoping we get the good version, but we could just as easily get last year's version. 50/50 shot imo.
  10. C'mon, all hitters have hot streaks that improve their OPS. That is a poor take. You could say the same about every single player. He needed consistent playing time, and a two week stretch late in the season isn't consistent. He was mis handled, and it's quite obvious. I hope that once we cut ties with him, via trade, or DFA, that he goes on to have a great career.
  11. You don't think it was important to seek a return on a #1 draft pick investment, that mashed righties? We desperately needed hitting last year and there were times the guy had one or two at bats a week, once even going 8 games with no plate appearances. Hiura was mis managed, simple as that. I know it goes against the front office can do no wrong narrative and all...
  12. Everyone knows they will regret these contracts, even they know it, but that doesn't stop them from handing them out anyway. Most of the GMS handing out millions like candy probably won't be around for the really bad parts of those contracts, so they just continue feeding their instant gratification in the quest for a world series title.
  13. Yeah, but I think they knew one of the big market teams would beat that offer. The offer was to save face, kind of like the Brewers do. "hey, we tried..."
  14. Any offer for Burnes from Baltimore starts with Grayson Rodriguez, otherwise the phone gets hung up. *click*
  15. This is going to seem weird, but every time I see it, it pisses me off. Have you noticed the WI License plates that are peeling, and you can't even see the letters or numbers? First off, why did they go to this rather than the old style of the painted/printed letters/numbers? Has to be the cost, there is no other explanation. Secondly, isn't the point of the letters/numbers so your car can be identified? If a car is involved in an accident or whatever, and someone needs to get the plate number, it will be impossible. I would think that the police would be pulling these cars over and telling them to contact the DMV for new plates. I mean, the plates benefit the police more than anyone, right? I am seeing it more and more and it just irritates me to no end.
  16. Call the Police. Maybe the possibility of a ticket will turn that music down?
  17. Absolutely 100% No! We need to hang onto Wiemer and Frelick imo. Chourio same, but I don't think I need to say it. Just NO!
  18. Interesting thought...
  19. Man, I would have loved to get Moreno, I would rather have gotten him over Jansen. Happy we got Contreras though. It's nice not seeing a black hole at catcher for the 2023 season.
  20. Is he better than Urias? Serious question. At this point in his career, is he better?
  21. I think the Royals will hang onto all their young up and comers, including Singer. A team like that is looking for young MLB talent, not to peddle them off to other teams. All the guys mentioned are exactly the kind of players they want, low budget, lots of control and bright futures.
  22. Frelick?
