  1. I must have been watching a different Yelich than you guys, different dimension I guess?
  2. Nope, Taylor stays. He is going to prove to be very valuable when Yelich and Cain go down with their inevitable injuries...
  3. There were Ramirez to the Brewers rumors?
  4. All we can hope for in regards to Yelich, is that he shows mercy on our organization and retires...
  5. Don't let anyone bully you into anything man. If you want to use Spicey K, use Spicey K.
  6. Not tough to acquire a guy no one else wanted... I find it extremely disappointing that one of our TARGET free agents was McCutchen to begin with...
  7. Our "average" offense will not take us deep into the playoffs. Spin it any way you want with any fancypants stats, but this offense without a significant boost from Yelich and Hiura is NOT going to lead us to a World series victory, much less, an appearance. If we have 2019 Yelich and Hiura, I'm buying what you are saying, but if they remain average and below average, we are in trouble offensively. That isn't even taking into account the fact that our pitching could drop a little too. Without our elite pitching, our average offense will be a disaster.
  8. Please, don't trade Ashby or Small. Please?
  9. Looking forward to what sveumrules has to say about this post...
  10. Also, I'm not saying we should be paying those contracts for these guys, but it would be nice if we could if needed. (There are those on this site that beg and beg to pay whatever it takes to get these type of players, I'm not in that camp, I just hate the fact that we don't have any shot in hell of EVER getting these players, we just don't) "All in" never truly means "all in" in Milwaukee. We simply can't do it.
  11. See, that's a problem too. We can develop all the talent we want, but we can't afford to keep them once they are good. Will we have any chance to keep Burnes and Woodruff?
  12. Ok, but add players like that to our roster, to our team which is ran pretty damn well. We start adding guys like that to our mix, and I will bet you that we would have won more games than 7th most.
  13. I'm not looking for that kind of spin. You know it, I know it, we all know it, great players make great teams. We are unable to sign players to help us win the World Series like teams with money. We may have the 7th most wins, but add a couple great free agent players to that mix and we could have the 3rd most, 4th most, I don't know, the 2nd most wins and a possible world series championship. I can't be happy with numbers like the 7th most wins when there is no championship behind those numbers. I know a lot of people are just happy to win games, wind division titles, and can justify it in many different ways. It's time we get more than a lot of wins, that is no longer enough.
  14. ...we are never real contenders to sign the big name free agents like Story and Correa. Look at the contracts they end up with. It's a joke for anyone to say with a straight face that we had a shot at either of them, or anyone else for that matter. Our only shot at the big names is through trades, and even then, other teams can and do outbid us there too. It's hard damn work being a Brewers fan.
  15. ...and then lose in the first round of the playoffs again because of the offense. Winning the division is no longer good enough, it's time to take the next step, and wasting this pitching staff for a division championship just doesn't cut it.
  16. a guy who has never had a starting gig... I was hoping if they weren't going to add a BIG bat in the OF, Taylor would get a shot at it. Renfroe is not the BIG bat I was hoping for to replace Taylor. McCutch is not the guy I was hoping for to take at bats from Taylor.
  17. That's better than him saying he didn't do a thing in the off season like a couple years ago.
  18. Biggio has been horrible in MLB. I want nothing to do with him to be honest. WHIF machine!
  19. This probably just cut into Tyrone's ABs for his season. I'm sure between Yelich and Cain injuries, Taylor will get his, but if we sign another outfielder, that shows us what management thinks of Taylor's future as a Brewer.
  20. Frelick wins the Fan's Choice bobble...
  21. Money, Money, and Money... He'll put up big numbers there too.
