We desprately need a hitting 1B. The Vogelbomb experiment needs to end. WE DESPERATELY NEED AN OFFENSIVE 1B!! -
I don't buy this. Tomorrow's lineup is totally rigid and can't be altered based on who might be hot today, who might not be feeling great tomorrow, etc? Not feeling great sure……one replacement level player has a good day…. doubt they are going to give that much weight at all. If CC is so rigid in his line-ups that he can't read his guys, that is horrible management. I'm not anti-CC however, when he needs to be critisized, he should be. He pulls this crap all the time, it isn't new. Did it last year tons of times, and has now done it thios year multiple times.

Have you seen what we have been trotting out at 1B and the numbers they are giving us? The Sheriff can't be any worse...
-
The question is, what happens to Nottingham in a couple of weeks when both Narvaez and Pina are back? The Sherrif is playing for his next team right now if you ask me. He will have a very big opportunity to audition for any other team with catcher issues. I hope he puts on a show, because I just don't think we will be able to keep him once our normal catchers get back. Hopefully he hits a bunch of homers! Sad really.

I had a few guys ship me/him cards. So awesome of those who did, made this kids day! Thanks again everyone! If anyone still wants to send cards, just let me know... It would be great to send him home with another box for the summer! The last box had a Mahomes and Brady, which he went nuts over! lol

The Mayor comes through! Wow, CLUTCH! Unbelievable!
-
It won't be long now... I can't imagine him being on the roster come Monday.
-
Is there the possible chance that Hiura is actually this guy? Geez, just hit a fly ball to the outfield.
-
because JBJ was only signed for his defense. it is not in his contract to have to win games with the bat.
-
No sweat, JBJ was only signed for his defense.
-
Kershaw hitting, crazy. Imagine him blowing a hammy in this at bat. That would suck.

The Changing Aesthetic of MLB: Outcome Frequencies 1986-2020
TURBO replied to sveumrules's topic in Milwaukee Brewers Talk
Not a big surprise that getting rid of the juiced baseball has caused slugging to plunge this year. Meanwhile, game time per 9 innings is at a record high, 3:08. The new strategy of choice in MLB is to draw walks and lots of them. Which is a pretty smart thing to do when BABIP has dropped to .284, the lowest since 1989. When you consider what exit velocity and launch angle averages were like in the 1980s vs. today, it's quite amazing that BABIP is that low. I am shocked it is only 3:08. Brewers games routinely go 3:30 or more. -
Umpires on power trips...
-
It often seems that way.
-
Not the umps on the field who messed up. That was bang bang, I can see how the ump at 2B missed the call, but it is inexcusable for them to fudge it up in New York. Pathetic.
-
BOOOOOOOO! I agree with Rock, why even have replay then?
-
Suter makes me nervous against this line-up.
-
dumb throw Sheriff, no way that would even be close.
-
Yeah, not ragging on McKinney, I like the dude. Taylor over Garcia is a no brainer.
-
lol and with that, McKinney gets a single to right.
-
And he's playing over Hiura since he at least makes contact. Just sums up our dire first base situation. I guess they'll have McKinney there if Cain or Yelich ever return. What has McKinney done for us lately? We still need either a 1B or a 3B bat. If we get a big bat 3B, Shaw moves to 1B full time. We just have to have one or the other... Man I wish Turner had worked out.
-
It's irratating that Garcia continues starting over Tyrone. If Garcia was hitting it would be one thing to share starts, but he isn't...
-
Cain makes that catch all day.

My son just did the AT 2 years ago. He went North to South, started in June and finished in October. He did it alone, which we were concerned with, but it worked out. He has great stories about the people he met and interacted with on the trail.
