  1. Peralta just isn't tested enough to make this kind of a statement. Let's see where Freddy is at the all star break.
  2. That could have gotten nasty... Contraras is always involved, he is the new Yadi. Not sure why Rizzo was chiming in.
  3. That sounds so much better than Kotsay as an option in CF not that long ago. Kotsay should NEVER have been an option, that was the problem, shouldn't have happened...
  4. 4/13 He left the game in the bottom of the 2nd with an apparant leg injury. EDIT: Left quad injury
  5. Except for Cain's home run last week. I think he just likes the attention. Either that or he was meant to be a soccer player.
  6. I think the Nationals had a lot of players test positive. The Cubs have had negative tests, just some close contacts to a coach who tested positive. I thought Duffy had tested positive but perhaps not. Two coaches though and obviously not everyone tests positive right away. 2 coaches and 4 players........so far.
  7. I think the Nationals had a lot of players test positive. The Cubs have had negative tests, just some close contacts to a coach who tested positive. Kyle Hendricks was scratched from his scheduled start Tuesday versus the Brewers due to an apparent illness. Per the Cubs' official Twitter feed, Hendricks "is not feeling well" and won't take the mound "out of an abundance of caution." Alec Mills is going to fill in against Milwaukee. Cubs bullpen coach Chris Young recently tested positive for COVID-19, along with first base coach Craig Driver, and the team has already placed four players (Brandon Workman, Jason Adam, Dan Winkler, Matt Duffy) on the COVID IL. 8. Yup, he needs to see innings to stay fresh. We've seen what happens when he goes a week without an appearance.
  9. Yup, Coach Cooper had his own set of rules, and you either followed them, or you hit the road.....bub.
  10. Coach Carter was definately a fan of "pouring it on," especially against teams that were "not ready for the bright lights" yet.
  11. Of course, as it should be. So then why call it asinine and dumb? Or how Rollie Time says “Success offensively isn’t rewarded on the Brewers and it’s mind boggling.” when Counsell doesn’t just bench guys all the time after they’ve had a good game? Because it is asinine and dumb to bench Hiura after the day he had yesterday, and CC has done it a LOT over the years. This is not an isolated inceident.
  12. Only read up to this point, but this holds true. Anytime a player breaks out of a slump or has a great game, he finds himself on the bench the next day. Asinine might be an understatement. Success offensively isn’t rewarded on the Brewers and it’s mind boggling. Would you have started him at 2nd? I think CC liked Vogelbach's #s vs Ponce Nope, I'd have started him at 1B, where he will continue to play while he hits. Vogelbach is suited for pinch hitting, not starting over our future at the position. The guy that Vogelbach has such "GREAT" numbers against is already out of the game. It was a dumb move.
  13. So after 9 games, one of which is currently being played, Garcia has already tied his home run total from last season. (60 games)
  14. I'm not wishing injury on the guy, but watcing him getting plunked on a regular basis is pure entertainment. Choose one. Contreras or Molina. Ugh. If you make me, I'd choose Molina, but that's a tight race.
  15. Maybe if Harris will take a leadership role as well.
