  1. Just a giant pile of steaming poop. As much as I long for Brewer baseball in the offseason, I am pretty close to wanting this nightmare season to just end and put me out of my misery. It's just painful.
  2. Sorry, but Hader should have been up way sooner. 1 run lead, top of the 8th, why on earth would you not have Hader getting loose right after we took the lead?
  3. It isn't like the alternatives are a heck of a lot better. sadly, true. I would have expected Hader for the 8th and 9th though...
  4. I don't see how that's a big get. Lucroy sucks. He is about 1 win under replacement level this season. He just hasn't been good in a couple years. It's not a big get, or any kind of get at all. It's nostalgic ex Brewer love.
  5. I think we all knew that from the beginning, but I don't think most thought it would happen this soon. I was hoping to get 3 decent years from him, knowing full well years 4 and 5 we'd regret.
  6. I buy all my favorite TV Shows on dvd. I just like knowing that I own them, and if I want to see them, at anytime, I can. They have become so cheap in the past couple of years, I can't see not owning them.
  7. A couple of obvious questions regarding Game of Thrones: 1. Did no one worry about, or catch STDs? I would think STDs would be running wild at that time, given behaviors. 2. I'm assuming that during those times, women didn't shave their entire bodies, yet on the show, they were always hairless. These are just thoughts.
  8. Reds claimed INF Freddy Galvis off waivers from the Blue Jays. Galvis was sporting a career-high .743 OPS with 18 home runs through 115 games this season for the Blue Jays and holds a relatively inexpensive $5.5 million club option for 2020, so it's a bit of a surprise that Toronto placed him on waivers. It's even more surprising that he made it through all of the American League contenders in the waiver claim order before falling to the Reds. The 29-year-old should get semi-regular action between shortstop and second base in Cincinnati, and he could maybe move into a starting role next season. He'll meet up with the team on Tuesday in Washington, D.C. Source: Shi Davidi on Twitter Aug 12, 2019, 1:17 PM ET
  9. I disagree 100%. Lots of season ticket holders make a lot of cash on the Cubs series'. Now you can charge them for tickets, plus the added bonus of opening day and jack those prices up even more. Sadly, the home field advantage will still be a wash, no matter when the Cubs play at Miller Park. Hopefully, those that sell to Cubs fans make a mint at least.
  10. Adames was still with the T-Rats today, August 11th.
  11. Can someone clear this up for the board? If we don't extend either player, how long do we have them under team control?
  12. The SOL beer commercial... I HATE IT!
  13. ...and another question? Why are the Brewers doing Grateful Dead tribute nights? I don't remember Milwaukee being a Grateful Dead hotspot. I have never understood the fascination with the band, in fact, I can't listen to them.
  14. I sometimes wonder if the daily line-up changes effect the hitters. Do most teams vary their line-ups as much as we do? I mean, do we ever run the same line-up out there on back to back days? I know that when I played high school ball, when the coach would throw out a different line-up, we hated it. I always liked to settle in at "my spot," just made me feel more comfortable.
  15. No thanks. If we picked him up, odds are that CC uses him. No thanks.
  16. BLASPHOMY!
  17. Will never know if that is an act, or is for real... ...and now the boy who cries wolf will be in CF? He must be ok. *shaking head*
  18. Keep some perspective though, we are playing the Pirates. You saw how we looked against the Cubs, night and day. Not saying it isn't possible, but odds are not in our favor imo.
