  1. They got Aaron Sanchez too...
  2. agreed, and since our return was so low, I don't think any other team thinks he will be worth anything either. *sigh* Disappointing.
  3. Sorry, but that is funny right there...
  4. Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports that Daniel Hudson is "drawing plenty of interest" and it's "more likely than not" he gets traded. The Twins and Red Sox are two clubs known to have interest in Hudson. The veteran reliever has had a nice season in Toronto with a 3.00 ERA and 48/23 K/BB ratio across 48 innings of work. He doesn't figure to cost much in a trade. Source: Mark Feinsand on Twitter Jul 31, 2019, 12:59 PM ET
  5. Mark it, Jesus finds his magic and just mashes from here on out. Makes no difference to us though, that wasn't happening in Milwaukee.
  6. Joel Sherman of the New York Post hears that the Mets pulled Noah Syndergaard off the trade market Tuesday night. Barring a last-minute surprise, Thor is going to stay put. It had been looking that way for a little while, as the Mets almost surely wouldn't have let him start Tuesday if they were really considering dealing him. It's possible a trade of the big right-hander will be revisited somewhere down the line, but he will finish out this season in Queens. The team is still fielding offers for Zack Wheeler. 7. According to Joel Sherman of the New York Post, the Mets are "still fielding calls" from nine teams on Zack Wheeler. Sherman notes, however, that the Mets "have a price" and could elect to keep Wheeler beyond Wednesday's 4pm ET deadline if they don't get an offer that meets their expectations. The impending free agent right-hander has been connected to the Astros, Braves, Yankees, Brewers, Athletics, and Rays. He's sporting a 4.71 ERA, 1.27 WHIP, and 137/34 K/BB ratio in 124 1/3 innings (20 starts) this season. Source: Joel Sherman on Twitter Jul 31, 2019, 11:24 AM ET I just don't see Wheeler as a needle mover if he is the best we can do...
  8. Curious who our options are at 3B if we trade Moose? imo, if we trade Moose and/or Grandal, we are throwing in the towel on this season. Even if we somehow got back a TOR starter and lockdown reliever, the offense we'd replace Moose and Grandal with would be detrimental to us winning this year.
  9. I think Dubon is highly over rated here... I don't see him being better than Arcia at anything. We haven't even seen him perform at the major league level, which is quite a bit different that AAA. I'm not seeing it.
  10. Don’t leave us in suspense? DOES GAMEL SCORE?! That WAS the plan. OOF!
  11. To the 10th: Gamel singles, Cain with a flailing K and Yelich doubles to the gap.
  12. That horn is awful. Imagine sitting there in the stadium and having to listen to that crap. I mean it is horrible on TV, imagine that in person? Gross.
  13. NICE! You guys owe me for starting Hendriks on 3 of my 4 fantasy teams tonight...lol
  14. That was pretty risky base running there Orlando. He gets gunned down there, inning over, and no chance to score.
  15. What a disappointment Cain has been this year... Add him to all the others, and it is so amazing we are still in the hunt. Shaw, Jesus, Cain, Arcia, Jeffress, Burnes, Chacin, the list goes on and on...
  16. Cain’s offense most of this season is the “upside down” of his defense. and just think, we only have 3 more years to marvel at his defense, and watch his offense crumble...hopefully, he can stay legit on defense, or that contract is going to really suck.
  17. I refuse to believe a MLB player can be distracted by noise, no matter how annoying. 100% agree. The noise is probably far more annoying to us than the hitters, who probably notice it when they aren't at the plate, but not when actually hitting.
  18. Thank you so much for bringing back Coach Cooper... I have missed him, even though he would call me a pansy for admitting that in a public forum.
