  1. Thanks for the information. Will be checking that out at some point. Pretty sure it will be out on dvd in the near future so I can add it to the Deadwood series.
  2. Must be on HBO?
  3. Wait, what? There is a Deadwood movie?
  4. Brewers 2B prospect Keston Hiura went 2-for-4 with a double and a walk with three runs scored for Triple-A San Antonio on Wednesday. Hiura's double is the 13th for Hiura in 38 games with the Missions. The 22-year-old was playing in his first game since being sent down to Triple-A, and unsurprisingly, it went well. The second baseman has a 1.114 OPS in the Pacific Coast League to go along with his .865 mark he put up with the Brewers or 17 games. He should be up again relatively soon, and if you have the room, he's still worth stashing at this point in the season. Jun 6, 2019, 9:12 AM ET
  5. Jimmy has to get his feet wet sometime. I'm not saying crap about his performance tonight since he hasn't thrown a major league game since 2017. The Brewers must have thought he was ready, whether he is or not, he's here...
  6. Cubs president of baseball operations Theo Epstein told reporters that the Cubs will do their "due diligence" on free agent reliever Craig Kimbrel. A recent report from Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic stated that the Cubs are "pushing hard" to sign Kimbrel now that he's no longer tied to draft-pick compensation. Epstein obviously wasn't going to come out and say that, but he didn't seem to deny that there's interest, either. The Twins have also been mentioned as a contender for Kimbrel, and it sounds like we could know where the star closer is playing sooner than later. About time. 7. Looking forward to the day this thread is locked, same with Kuechel's thread...
  8. I never do this, but that's it for me tonight... I usually watch until the bitter end, but this is just bad. Hopefully Jimmy is ready to go tomorrow. I think CC will be afraid to use up the pen tonight knowing full well Jimmy will have a short outing his first time back... This game will just get worse and worse if that is the case.
  9. I think you are both full of it! lol Every team has good fans, and bad fans... No matter where you go, you see more people on their phones than are watching the game...
  10. Cain has been struggling a lot lately, in the lead off spot anyway. The one game he hit 3rd, he perked up, but was back at lead off the next day with the same crappiness...
  11. Like I said earlier... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Can someone refresh my mind, who did we get from the Yankees for Cooper?
  12. According to Mark Feinsand of MLB.com, another source believes that the Yankees are going to land Dallas Keuchel and that they are emerging as the "true favorites" to sign him. This comes just minutes after Feinsand reported that the Yankees and Braves were the favorites and that their offers were believed to be similar. Perhaps something changed overnight, but it wouldn't be a shock to hear the Yankees have jumped in front. They could use another quality arm as the year moves along. All signs point to this situation moving quickly now that draft pick compensation is no longer an issue. SOURCE: Mark Feinsand on Twitter Jun 4, 2019, 10:12 AM ET
  13. I have it narrowed down to 6 ideas that I like... Others that are available that I am not going to use: EUCKER S1XT0 - Great idea provided in this thread though! CRUW - too redundant 99WAR
  14. HIURA is taken, surprised me...
  15. Hiura has started to figure out MLB pitching, and he was hitting, period. Now, we send him down, losing all that time he gained by getting a look at MLB pitching. Next time we bring him up, we have taken him out of his groove, and he has to start all over again. I truly believe that every game counts, every single game, and we need to realize that. I'll get over this move, but it is just completely asinine. Take one of, if not our hottest hitter out of our line-up and add a guy who is struggling big time, and has been all season long. It is juts baffling to me.
  16. This. People can come up with every excuse in the book to justify this move, but we just sent down a hitter that has helped us win games for a hitter who probably cost us games when he wasn't on the DL. This move stinks. Hiura has made this team better offensively, and it is highly doubtful that his defense is any worse than Shaw/Moose at 2B. This is a backwards move. Just stupid.
  17. I think you guys are being hard on Keithstone's kneejerk reaction. He's a fan. We all say stupid things in the heat of the moment.
  18. Is Moose or Shaw better defensively at 2B though? This is a crap move. The kid did nothing but rake. Is player loyalty more important than winning ball games at the major league level? As we have seen before, every game counts, and this is a stupid move.
  19. According to LaVelle Neal III of the Minneapolis Star Tribune, the Twins have interest in both Dallas Keuchel and Craig Kimbrel. Both elite-level hurlers remain unsigned into June, though after midnight on Sunday, they'll no longer require draft pick compensation which should speed things along exponentially. The Twins have surprisingly been the best team in baseball through the first few months of the season -- sitting at 40-18 and 11 1/2 games ahead of the Indians and White Sox in the American League Central. Adding either marquee arm -- or even both -- would only add to their title aspirations. SOURCE: Minneapolis Star Tribune Jun 2, 2019, 11:45 PM ET
