  1. Dallas Keuchel told Tim Brown of Yahoo Sports that he's turned down "numerous deals." The specifics of those offers are unclear, but Keuchel said his agent, Scott Boras, recommended that he seriously consider some of them. However, the southpaw said he rejected them on "principle" because he wasn't getting what he considers to be fair market value. He's rightfully frustrated at the system, but holding firm on his asking price. One hurdle to a potential deal is that Keuchel is attached to draft pick compensation, but that will no longer be the case once this year's draft takes place on June 3. There's always a chance that some team will jump in before that date, but it would be pretty surprising if he's on the market much longer after that. Keuchel, 31, put up a 3.74 ERA over 34 starts with the Astros last year and would help plenty of teams right now. SOURCE: Yahoo.com May 7, 2019, 1:28 PM ET
  2. Hasn't worked yet, but will, watch and see...
  3. Why would we need him? Outside of a couple long term injuries to starters, there is no need to bring n this has been / never was re-tread...
  4. When is the official super two cut off date? I am expecting to see him in Milwaukee shortly after, or the day of, especially if Shaw is still in the tank.
  5. Oh, I get it... Very unintimidating gangs for sure. Just the negative connotation of the word GANG seems to be something that would trigger a certain percentage of our population... Everything else triggers them, surprised this isn't one of those things.
  6. You see that kind of reaction by fans in every ball park. Maybe so, but it seems to have taken root at Miller Park more so than before. Maybe the success of the team has brought in more fans that really have no clue?
  7. Ben Gamel is becoming one of my favs... Put Braun back at 1B and start Gamel daily.
  8. The Capital Credit Union commercial can take a big hike too! That song stays in my head for hours after a game, and it needs to stop!
  9. You know it's going to happen, it is inevitable...
  10. I can understand lastnight because people wanted the game to end so badly that they would cheer any fly ball and today because everyone would want to see Yelich homer in his first AB in a week, excluding pinch hitting of course, but other than that it has been pretty comical how we have turned into Cubs fans when it comes to fly balls. Hopefully that's the only similarity we have to Cubs fans. I shudder to think what it would be like to be a fall down drunk, wearing my pit stained Kerry Wood jersey and starting fights inside Miller Park. I have also noticed "wooooing" at Miller Park, and that disgusts me even more. I could not handle sitting next to or near anyone doing that ridiculous fad.
  11. I think the new Taco Bell "gang" commercials are bad, really bad. I am also surprised our media is allowing Taco Bell to glamorize gangs in any manner.
  12. ok, Brewers fans are officially just as bad as Cubs fans when it comes to ridiculous cheering at a routine fly ball. Brewers fans, not every fly ball is over the fence. geez. Been noticing this all season.
  13. not agreeing or disagreeing because I have mixed opinions, but if the stats say that a starting pitcher gets his butt kicked the 3rd time through the line-up on a regular basis, would you let him pitch anyway, just to save the BP arms? Again, it's a legit question, not saying I would or wouldn't do it.
  14. Was this supposed to be in blue or have you forgotten the Sunday lineups the Brewers regularly fielded across the last 20+ seasons? We haven't been using those type of line-ups this year though. Our Sunday line-ups usually look better than our regular line-ups most years. lol Actually, Jesus and Shaw wouldn't normally be considered part of a "sunday line-up" either since they are regulars most of the time. They just suck now.
  15. Oh boy, an ugly line-up today. Cain Yelich Braun Jesus Perez Shaw Pina Arcia Davies Surprised to see Braun get the start today. Play him while he's hot, I like it! Glad to see Yelich back!
  16. That was awesome! This is a game I'll never forget, so what a blast, and to get the win was huge! I abandoned this thread and watched the 10-18th in the bedroom. Such a great win!
  17. Jimmy Nelson (elbow) will make his first minor league rehab start at Triple-A San Antonio on Sunday. Nelson had to take a leave from his minor league rehab program due to the premature birth of his twin daughters, but now that everything is under control, he's back and ready to go. He'll probably need a couple of starts in the minor leagues before he's deemed ready to rejoin the Brewers' rotation -- a return that should happen before the end of the month barring any setbacks.
