  1. I think pressure is the reason he has failed to hit since last April... When he went on his big streak last year, there was no pressure. as the season went along, the pressure started to mount because he figured out that we are actually playing for a play-off spot. He hasn't hit since. This year, we are expected to make some noise, he has done nothing...Pressure is what might be doing him in. imo.
  2. Agree^^ Let him hit AAA till past S 2, trade Thames(prob have to eat 3-4 mil). Plenty of ABs for Hiura, Team better vs LHP. Save 2-3 mil. Hiura gains valuable experience for next year. Unless Thames does something, anything, no one is going to want him whether we pay most of his salary or not. The guy has become dead weight.
  3. I'm surprised at how little they have used Perez so far this year, even as a pinch hitter or pinch runner. I like it!
  4. collusion
  5. I'm always a little nervous for the first Cubs game of the season. Not sure if it is nerves, or giddiness...
  6. He's gonna be a Cub, watch and see...
  7. Watched the last few innings of that game and it was an utter pleasure to witness yet another Cubs bullpen implosion. Kimbrel is noticing too... He'll be a Cub soon enough.
  8. Drinking helps. Side benefit is that you'll be asked to retire lol yup, I think you may be right...
  9. Day games during the work day are painful... Retirement can't get here soon enough.
  10. If this is true, and since he hit a homer last night, I expect him to be on the bench today...
  11. Bud Norris RP, Toronto Blue Jays Blue Jays released RHP Bud Norris. This is quite a surprise, as Norris reworked his minor league contract with the Blue Jays last month so that he could rehab his forearm injury while still a member of the organization. Toronto isn't exactly loaded with relief depth, either. The veteran right-hander should be able to find a new team quickly once he's back to full health. 12. Hopefully he is PO'd now and sets the next 3 guys down... I don't like this start.
  13. If we can see that, surely his coaches are on him about it... Maybe a quicker hook this year will change his ways. Why wait for 1/3 of the season to be over to make a point with this guy? As soon as we can come up with an option at SS, send him back down. Not a huge believer in Dubon, but he can't be any worse than Arcia. How close is he to healthy?
