  1. Opening day and Kimbrel is sitting at home... Ridiculous that he'd rather start the season late then sign on with a contender. I am starting to dislike him.
  2. That’s good enough for me, Rosenthal and Heyman not a peep should a dampened earlier reports anyhow. Thinking with the heart instead of the brain. I just hope the fact he’s not a member of our bullpen is because of LONG TERM demands or brewers rejecting medicals and not because they didn’t want to offer a high enough pillow deal because they don’t want to increase their payroll. We have plenty of $ to spend but Mark A and investors probably would like 30+ mil profit again. Why do you keep harping on the comment that we have plenty of money to spend, etc... You just don't know. Stop speaking like you have inside information when clearly, you do not. You have made this comment, or one like it many times.
  3. Electric Bugaloo? So many will not understand this reference...
  4. S1XT0 is available in both Brewers plates. NICE!
  5. thanks everyone...
  6. Mark A. not a die hard fan of the team he owns? You can't tell by his actions and the things he says that he is a die hard Brewers fan? Geez. That is a very ridiculous statement to make.
  7. Anyone have pointers about or must see things in Nashville? Will be heading there with my wife and 21 year old daughter. None of us are big drinkers, but we will be taking in some night life to see what all the talk is about when it comes to their music scene... (I'm not a big country music fan, in fact, I'm not a country fan at all, but when in Nashville...) Also, we'll be there before the Nashville Sounds start their season, so that is out...
  8. I'd also be willing to trade for one if you'd rather go that route. I have a ton of bobbles, lots of special event ones too.
  9. Seriously? If that is the case, I'd LIKE those posters banned for life...
  10. UH OH! Jimmy Nelson felt soreness in his right elbow after pitching in a minor league game Thursday. The Brewers don't seem concerned at the moment, as Nelson isn't slated to undergo any additional testing and the team expects him to be ready for the start of the minor league season. Still, with Nelson coming back from a shoulder injury and also dealing with a forearm ailment this spring, the red flags are piling up. He could join the Brewers' rotation sometime in April if all goes well, but we'll have to see how he progresses. SOURCE: Adam McCalvy on Twitter Mar 22, 2019, 12:36 PM
  11. Ray for Smith? Nope, nope, no.
  12. If all we can hope for is 5 innings from 3 of our 5 starters, the bull pen is going to go to hell quickly. There is no way that a bull pen can be used like we did in September last year for a full season...
  13. This can also give them some leverage with Kimbrel. If you don't want to take the deal we are offering, we can just work out a trade to get what we are looking for. To which he might say "go ahead, I'll be right here when you decide not to give up prospects instead of money." If Kimbrel doesn't sign with us, he will sign someplace, he knows it. I believe he still has the leverage. Someone always comes calling with talent like that.
  14. I remember when the Mets had the future rotation of Syndergaard, deGrom, Harvey, Matz and Wheeler. All 5 were projected to be in the rotation at the same time, and all were ranked as future aces. Some have been derailed because of injuries (Matz and Wheeler), some have just sucked (Harvey) and some have flourished (deGrom and Syndergaard when healthy...Wheeler seems to have things figured out too if last year wasn't a fluke) The young guns are never a sure thing, but better to have young guys who have the realistic chance of becoming studs, then to hitch your wagon to career #4 or #5 guys because it's all we have in the system. Our 3 guns have the ability and chance to be #1s and #2s. That is far better than what we have had in the past.
  15. I hope this gets figured out soon, I am literally checking into this site every 10 minutes to see if Kimbrel is a Brewer yet.
  16. So just to be clear, if Arcia is the black hole, and Hiura gets called up, who plays shortstop? Are you suggesting, and it won't really be all that shocking, that Hiura will be our SS in that scenario? If / when Hiura gets called up, it is to play 2B. Who plays SS? No, he's suggested in the recent past that Moustakas play SS. Because he played it in HS. Seriously. Yes, but I wanted to hear him say it...

  18. Brewers skipper Craig Counsell admitted Thursday that Corey Knebel is dealing with an UCL issue and will get a second opinion. Counsell elaborated, noting that it wasn't a complete tear of his UCL and that he has pitched with the injury for awhile, so Tommy John surgery is not a foregone conclusion here. Still, it remains a possibility. We'll wait and see what the second opinion holds, but the Brewers' interest in Craig Kimbrel seemingly makes much more sense now. 19. That bull pen sure doesn't look like much of a strength once you take Knebel and Jeffress out. yuk Kimbrel would sure be a boost, and if / when they come back, imagine THAT bullpen!!!
  20. Wish he would be declining in Milwaukee...
  21. Strong rotation! I do NOT like Davies in the rotation. Would rather he was AAA fodder to start the season. However, Davies in the bullpen is a lot worse than Anderson in the bullpen, so I understand the reasoning. If Nelson is able to come back, and all 3 youngsters deliver, this rotation is awesome.
  22. Kimbrel does not equal Schoop in any way. Kimbrel is an elite, proven player. Schoop, though great at times, is not a player with a multi year proven track record.
