I agree. I think Burnes makes a lot of sense here. Would you consider him one of the big guns? Yes, and I wouldn't use him unless we have to.

I don't like it, with the 3 run lead, you have to rely on some guys that can get us by, and if trouble shows up, then use your big guns. Maybe a guy like Soria can give us a clean inning, if not, then go to Burnes/Hader... A fresh Hader and Burnes tomorrow sure would be beneficial.

Just wasn’t thinking ahead enough to have a reliever up. I think by the time it happened it was too late to get someone up. Which is why I think the game moves too quickly for Counsell at times... Hopefully, with more experience as a manager, that gets better.

I hope he was second guessing himself. If he thought what he did was THE ONLY option, I question his thought process.

I just can't see having bases loaded and not taking a shot... Santana gets a hit there, we score runs, and have Knebel full strength tomorrow. I can see it going either way though. I understand what CC was thinking, but I would have done it differently. Santana has been clutch.

Yeah, I'm not sure saving him fore the 9th is a good plan unless we have a plan for when/if he blows up again. Cedano is not part of that plan.
