  1. No one is untouchable. If that is the case, someone should be fired!
  2. Totally agree. I feel like management dumped on him too at the end when Kratz was receiving the majority of starts. We'd be just fine with Manny if he is our weakest link in the batting order.
  3. So Burnes and Hiura. HARD HARD HARD HARD HARD PASS!
  4. 30 million a year wouldn't sound nearly as bad if Braun's contract was off the books, but it isn't, so...
  5. I wouldn't give up hope. It will depend on how the Marlins value these prospects, not how arbitrary 3rd party prospect rankers value them. Plus, we really have no idea how much value the Braves, or the Brewers, place on Realmuto. The Brewers definitely have the ammunition to get a deal done if they want to, and they determine that Realmuto is worth the cost. One thing the Brewers offer that the Braves do not is a set of upper-end prospects that are closer to Major League ready. I would agree. They also have some players who could fill holes for the Marlins as well. The highest I'd so would be Anderson, Aguilar, Nottingham, and Dubon for Realmuto. I wouldn't be able to accept that offer fast enough! I don't think that would do it, another team would beat that offer for certain.
  6. Jon Heyman of Fancred hears that free agent Marwin Gonzalez has already drawn interest from "everyone but one team." Gonzalez had a down year at the plate in 2018, but he slashed .303/.377/.530 with 23 home runs and 90 RBI over 134 games with the Astros in 2017. The 29-year-old can also play just about every position on the field. He should do very well for himself on the open market this offseason given his defensive versatility and the past offensive production. It's looking like this will not be a buy-low situation for the team that winds up landing him. Source: Jon Heyman on TwitterNov 8 - 1:47 PM
  7. clunker of a game last night.
  8. This is pretty clearly not true. My post was in regards to the Gerardo Parra comment...
  9. More ex-brewer love... It always amazes me how often people bring up ex-brewers as options when the only good reason is based on the fact that they were once Brewers.
  10. Sabathia is running on fumes. Loved his time here, but no thank you.
  11. UGH! Sadly, you are probably right.
  12. I think there are more with you than you suspect. Hiura only goes if Realmuto is signing an extension if it were up to me. And since I think that's very unlikely, I'm betting on Keston getting the call to Milwaukee for a long enjoyable run starting in June. I'm with you! Keep him!
  13. I hope we sign him just to watch people's heads explode. That should probably be half blue...
  14. Yeah he's borderline unicorn. I am considering keeping him as a keeper in a fantasy league before he ever sees a MLB at bat.
  15. Would have made a lot more sense if we still had DJ...
  16. I hope Stearns remembers that Realmuto is only 2 years, and Yelich was 5. All these posts that are saying what it would cost? If that is the case, I'd hold hard with Pina and Nottingham.
  17. Is this meant to be serious? I sometimes don't know when you post things like this...
  18. So we have him for 4 more seasons, counting this one? That is pretty far out to worry about now imo.
  19. When can he leave?
  20. Wheeler had an excellent 2nd half, and would easily, not even close, be our best starter... We'll see if he can match those numbers for a full season in 2019.
  21. Curious why this thread always has the little baseball to the left of the thread, meaning something new has been added, but there is never anything new added... I open this thread daily, only to be disappointed. You would think I would learn, but I do not. That is all.
  22. I don't want to roll with 2 3B playing infield. We need a true 2B, and let Shaw play his actual position. imo
  23. The hitting coach on a team that had hitters regress tremendously? This doesn't make me feel that great.
  24. Bledsoe missing that free throw with 12 seconds left was a killer. Had he made both, it would have been a tie game with that same 12 seconds remaining.
  25. Was that a little "shot" at the end? The Reds made him feel wanted... Did the Brewers not do the same?
