  1. Has the media asked his coaches, teammates, or fans how they feel about his antics? I'd love to hear what his own teammates think of him. My guess is they think he is a punk too. I wonder if he got into a fight with an opposing player, would they come to his aid or let him fend for himself. Fact is, when they lose the world series, he won't give a crap, he has no skin in the game, he was nothing but a rental looking forward to his payday in the off season. If the world was right, he'd go unsigned in the off season, which we know won't happen, but it would serve him right. Punk.
  2. yup, agreed. I'd like to see him get his clock cleaned by the next guy that he tries to injure. It may be the only thing that will slow him down, since MLB is doing nothing. (I don't call a $10,000 fine a punishment in any way, that is pocket change to a guy like him) Sooner or later, he is going to hurt someone, and then the crap will hit the fan. There are a lot of warning signs now, so something needs to be done beforehand. I'd like to see the media ask his teammates what they think of him... Machado = Punk.
  3. typical last teenager stuff... Entitlement plays a role, especially if their parents have always given them what they want, when they want it... Lots of teenagers don't see the value in not having debt coming out of college. They will see it when the bills start rolling in, that's for sure, but getting them to avoid it in the first place is tough.
  4. The entire offensive philosophy has changed and it's a breath of fresh air... So fun to watch there guys so far!
  5. But again, Villar was desiganted to deep deep deep bench. Not sure if removing all playing time came from Stearns or CC, but the fact was, Villar was never going to get any kind of a chance to play again with us. Was he a clubhouse issue? There has never been talk of this from anyone in the organization. Players, coaches, no one. They obvioulsy wanted nothing to do with him on the field, he had to go, there was just no point in keeping him.
  6. Machado = Punk.
  7. Is tis getting any kind of national attention? That's a handful of things just in the post season alone... Just another reason for me to hate this little punk of a man. Go Red Sox!
  8. As far as I can tell, there is only one poster on this entire site who thinks that is a good idea...
  9. Just curious, if they do, I need one.
  10. yet still, there are no stats on whomever replaces Coles. There is no way to tell if your original statement is fact, which still makes it an opinion. Makes no difference either way, but sometimes people get called out for stating opinions as facts. Everyone does it, so no biggie.
  11. I think that is an opinion. That would not be measurable, especially before it even happens.
  12. I wonder if free agent starters will think twice about coming to Milwaukee based on how we use them here? If I am a top end guy used to throwing 7 innings or more if I am rolling, and I have an offer from a team that is known to use their starters for 5 innings if they are lucky, even if things are going well, I'd overlook offers from the Brewers. I hope we don't get a bad rep with staring pitchers based on that, and miss out of guys because of it.
  13. For all we know, Coles was asked to resign to save him the embarrassment of being canned. It is all speculation.
  14. Ed Sedar still has a job, so we have that going for us.
  15. Coach Cooper always provided exact timelines. It was one of the things that made him a great coach.
  16. As long as they are replaced with old-school Coach Cooper youth baseball tales What a great addition!
  17. Seems this could have it's own topic. lol the hot takes don't bother me, and the off the cuff comments are what make that thread enjoyable. Most of the time, we know when we say stupid things after the fact. The IGT threads are nice to enjoy the game with like minded people, that is what I use them for to be honest... Most of the people I know are not as die hard of a fan as I am, so sharing the highs and lows with people like me is a good time, even when I disagree with what is being said.
  18. I never understand all the complaining about the IGT threads. It's a place for all the personalities on these boards to chat during the games. There will be disagreements, emotion, etc., which to me makes it fun. If it was a sterile environment, where there was no disagreement, difference of opinion, or emotion, what fun would that be? If it gets to be too much, I take a break for a day or two, but I always go back. lol Too many people on their high horses want to dictate other people's responses, etc. That is worse than the people who bring the negativity and stress imo.
  19. 57 for me. 4 more years of my current teaching job, then I'll be done. My wife and I have been planning since we got married, and unless the world goes up in flames before that, I will be done at the earliest possible chance. In fact, I'll be 57 for a total of 1 week when I retire.
  20. 10 mil for a platoon player would be asinine. If we resign him for a platoon, I think that is a complete waste of money.
  21. Maybe I am missing something - it sure looks to me he spiked him on purpose and easily could have moved his leg to miss him. I like how he grabbed him in the groin region to hold him up. Want the video to go another second to see if he gets a shot in while he is at it. Still don't see this as dirty. His leg/foot popped up from base contact and went into Pedroia. It didn't look like it was on purpose in that video, not to me anyway. It might look a lot different in real time. Like I said, I'm not sticking up for this POS, I hate the guy as much as the rest of you.
  22. Agree on this, I felt the same way about Santana. I guess that would explain Domingo Santana's substitute line of : .324 .375 .622 .997 Or I guess his PH stats only (not including a second PA after coming into a game): .414 .469 .793 1.262 Or maybe his stats in the second half where his play was entirely limited every single time: .409 .458 .909 1.367 .796 OPS over his career as a starter... 1.114 OPS over his career PHing. Actually I was speaking about the first half of the season where he was sent down...I don't think his sporadic playing time the first half did him, or the Brewers any favors.
  23. I think Thames WAS awful, and will not be sad to see him go. We just don't have anyplace for the guy to play.
